Avalon

Sean instinctively moved to cast a spell, but forcibly stopped himself.

This little boat had come from Voldemort's cave, but no one knew how Voldemort had obtained it.

However, Sean knew that in the original story, when Harry and Professor Dumbledore took the boat toward the center of the lake, touching the water would cause the Inferi within to become completely agitated and attack them. His earlier actions with Regulus had proven that well enough.

If they were Inferi, Sean could handle them easily enough. But this was Glass Island, the legendary Avalon. He was not even sure whether the things living here still counted as creatures in the eyes of the world.

"Since this boat is needed to reach Avalon, that proves it has some other use..."

After hesitating for a moment, Sean finally suppressed the light shining from the tip of his wand.

He had a feeling that if he attacked first, what followed would be far more troublesome to deal with.

The foul, viscous black water of the swamp continued to churn. This was a realm of mingled ash-gray and dark green, yet he could still sense the shadows swimming beneath him.

That shadow was enormous. Sean could not make out its exact outline, only that it was probably larger than several Fire Dragons combined.

Dark brown mud bubbles burst open, releasing thick clouds of pale violet mist that were clearly quite toxic.

As the shadow swam, more and more bubbles burst. The swamp, which had only been hazy before, was suddenly engulfed in purple.

The purple mist drifted beneath Sean's boat along with the swimming shadow.

The explosive sound from when the shadow had first appeared rang out again, shaking the little boat.

But Sean only gripped his wand tightly and still did not attack.
