"Oh? I'd love to hear it." Sean looked interested.
Ollivander sighed. "This Dragon Heartstring came from a Hungarian Horntail. At the time, I was visiting an old friend from the MacFasty Clan. That irritable, terrifying creature was on the other side of the island, and in just over ten minutes, it bit several Hebridean Black Dragons to death. Good heavens, it was the most foul-tempered dragon I'd ever seen."
He seemed to be recalling the scene and only came back to himself after quite a while.
Ollivander swiftly wrapped up the wand and said softly, "Mr. Wallop, I hope you'll put this wand to good use."
"Of course, sir."
The Silver-haired Girl beside him extended a hand expressionlessly. "That'll be seven Galleons."
Sean offered her the Galleons with an elegant smile. "Thank you for your recommendation. If I may ask, are you a new Hogwarts student as well?"
The girl sat back down on the bench and replied flatly, "I'll be starting my third year this term."
She looked even younger than him... Sean maintained his smile, nodded in greeting, left behind a "Please guide me after term starts," and walked out of the shop.
That was a little awkward...
After the Wallerup father and son had gone some distance away, Ollivander looked at the girl and said softly, "I can't believe he was suited to that wand."
The girl reopened her old book and adjusted her Gold-rimmed Glasses. Her tone remained calm. "It was obvious. He was graceful and refined, courteous and polite, but no matter how well he suppressed the violence in his bones, traces of it would still show through. I just happen to be good at noticing such things."
Ollivander's expression grew a little more serious. "No wonder. No wonder that wand resembles that child so closely."
The girl turned a page, seemingly paying no attention to the conversation at all. "In any case, Grandfather, your only responsibility is finding each wand its true owner. Whether he becomes a true nobleman afterward or a thug in formal wear, that has nothing to do with the wand, nor does it have anything to do with Ollivanders."
After leaving Ollivanders, Sean chose Madam Malkin's Robes for All Occasions as his next destination.
Madam Malkin was a short, plump witch with a cheerful smile, dressed in purple robes.
"A new student? Dear, here for uniforms?" Madam Malkin looked very welcoming.
"Yes, ma'am."
"Hogwarts or Newmontgard?"
"Hogwarts."
"Come along, come along. We have plenty here, and there happen to be two young men inside trying things on."
When he entered the inner room, a slender boy was standing on a footstool while a witch measured his height with pins.
The boy had handsome Slicked-back Hair and wore Round Glasses. Behind the Lens were a pair of emerald-green eyes, and he was currently talking to a round-faced boy beside him.
"Neville, are you really not considering buying a Flying Broomstick?"
The Round-faced Boy looked honest and dependable, and he was quite tall. He had already changed into a neat set of robes.
"Harry, I've told you already, I'm not good with Flying Broomsticks, and first-years aren't allowed to bring them," Neville said earnestly.
"Then sneak one in. My dad said Gryffindor hasn't won the championship in years. Maybe they'd be willing to take on a talented first-year Seeker?"
Harry and Neville? Sean froze for a moment. Had things changed so much? Or were these not the two people from his memories?
The two boys inside noticed Sean as well.
"Hi."
"Hi." Sean stepped onto a footstool.
Harry raised an arm to let the pins continue measuring him, then turned toward Sean. "A new student? Which school?"
"Hogwarts. What about you?"
Harry's tone immediately became much more enthusiastic. "I'm a new Hogwarts student too. My name's Harry—Harry Potter. That's Neville Longbottom."
Neville, who was sitting nearby, greeted him as well.
No doubt about it...
"Sean Wallop. Nice to meet you."
"Are you both from Wizarding Families?" Sean was intensely curious about the two of them now.
"Yes. Neville and I both come from families of wizards." Harry smiled amicably.
It looked as though Voldemort might never have risen to power at all... Thinking about it, that made sense. The two old men who might have been the strongest of their generation were both alive and well, and Grindelwald was not only no weaker than Dumbledore, but far more ruthless in his methods. No matter where Tom Riddle had gone to school back then, he probably wouldn't have dared to stand out.
"It's nice to meet you both. We'll be classmates from now on." Sean smiled.
"Of course. Are you from a Muggle Family?"
"Yes. My family still hasn't fully recovered from the shock."
Harry muttered, "That's still much better than my cousin..."
His cousin? Sean remembered that his name seemed to be Dudley.
Harry muttered to himself, then asked curiously, "You must have received two acceptance letters, right?"
"Yes." Sean nodded. "What about you two?"
Harry wore a proud expression. "My whole family graduated from Hogwarts. Newmontgard didn't even need to send me an acceptance letter, because I was always going to choose Hogwarts."
Neville, seated beside him, nodded in agreement.
"Why do you say that?" Sean looked curious.
Perhaps because Sean had already chosen Hogwarts, Harry now considered him half a classmate. Taking advantage of the Robemaker's absence as she went to fetch some clothes, Harry lowered his voice. "Hogwarts is the best School of Magic of this century. And I heard that before it was rebuilt, Newmontgard used to be a research headquarters for the Dark Arts, where many wizards were imprisoned and used for experiments!"
That was pretty explosive.
Harry curled his lip and continued, "Of course, that isn't the important part. The important thing is that Newmontgard has been recruiting wizards from all over ever since it was established. I heard that Durmstrang in Germany has basically had all its students snatched away by Newmontgard."
"Then why has Newmontgard been able to recruit so many people?"
Harry instinctively showed an expression of disgust. "Because of Newmontgard's so-called 'elite education.' Hmph, they're obsessed with pursuing power. Those Newmontgard people shout about the glory of wizards, yet all they do is evil."
"Evil?" Sean became even more curious.
Harry cleared his throat. "I don't know the specifics. Anyway, Hogwarts and Newmontgard are complete rivals. Just remember that."
"Let me see, how are the young men who wanted to venture out on their own today? If someone embarrasses his godfather because his outfit isn't handsome enough, I'll have to consider sending a Howler to tell the entire school that Harry Potter's greatest hobby is staring at other people's perky backsides." A voice carrying amusement and lazy drawl drifted over.
Sean turned to look. It was an exceptionally handsome middle-aged man with slightly curly black hair. His sharply defined features held a roguishness rarely seen in men his age.
Harry beamed at the man. "No way, Sirius!"
