Hogwarts Professors
The first gathering of the Duelling Club ended rather anticlimactically. In the second half, the wizards from both schools practiced on their own, leaving the Newmontgard, who had initially tried to provoke them, with a belly full of resentment.
Originally, I wanted to teach these arrogant fools a lesson, but Sean's Occamy was just too intimidating. Magical Creatures with a rating of xxxx still needs to think twice.
Moreover, Sean's strange spells left a deep impression on them. After the Silent Stinging Hex and the Occamy Emerging from its Hole, who knows what this wicked guy who likes to play innocent will do next?
When the party ended, Sean left the Great Hall and went inside to take a look. Riddle and Snape seemed to exchange a few words before quickly leaving.
interesting...
On his way back to the dorm, Sean made up an excuse and took a different route.
After walking through a stone corridor, he indeed saw Newt waiting at the top of the stairs.
"Professor Scamander." Sean smiled and quickly walked up to him.
Newt, still hunched over as before, smiled slightly and said, "Well done, Sean."
"It's all thanks to your help, Professor."
Newt shook his head, reached out and took the reluctant Pickett back, and said softly, "Sean, you are more capable than me."
Sean was a little embarrassed, but Newt continued earnestly, "Sean, you know that wizards have all sorts of talents, right?"
"Yes, Professor." Sean nodded, but he was a little confused. What kind of talent was Professor Scamander referring to?
Does it refer to being better at learning a certain type of magic, or a specific bloodline?
For example, Parseltongue and Metamorphmagus.
Newt explained, "Generally speaking, as long as a wizard is diligent enough, he can learn most magical abilities, but there are some abilities that you can't learn no matter how hard you try."
He smiled and said, "My mother raised Hippogriff, and under her influence, I developed a great interest in Magical Creatures from a young age. This is not only due to the influence of my family and the charm of Magical Creatures themselves, but also my little talent has helped a bit."
Sean's expression turned pleasant and delighted when he saw Newt.
"I can communicate with these little guys," he said with a very happy smile. "This is probably the best gift God has given me."
"Communication?" Sean became curious. He knew, of course, that Newt could get along well with many Magical Creatures, but the "communication" Newt was talking about seemed to be different from what he had imagined.
Newt nodded, holding up Pickett towards Sean: "It says you don't taste as good today as you did last time we met."
Sean looked at Pickett. He could have fun playing with Pickett, but it was difficult for him to fully understand what Pickett meant.
"Because you didn't bring any jackpot this time." Newt winked at him.
Sean's eyes widened. "Professor, you can understand Magical Creatures?"
"Yes, but I can't fully understand them either," Newt said with a helpless shrug, as Pickett dangled his fingers. "The mindset of Magical Creatures and their ability to understand us wizards means that I can't have as pleasant a conversation with them as I can with you."
"Of course, that's enough for me." Newt's face was old, but his eyes were still bright.
"Cool," Sean exclaimed.
Newt looked at Sean gently. "Sean, this is a gift you were born with, and yours is even better than mine. I hope you can make good use of this talent and then treat Magical Creatures as your friends, okay?"
"I'm doing that, Professor," Sean laughed.
"Looks like you're doing a good job," Newt smiled. "Come see me anytime on your days off."
"I will, Professor."
After the two said goodbye, Sean remembered that Naja the Occamy was still with him.
"Professor, your Occamy."
Newt waved his hand. "Could you please take care of it for me for a while? Merlin's beard takes me a long time to find every day when I'm feeding it."
"But the school probably doesn't allow students to Occamy, right?" Sean was immediately tempted, but he still looked troubled as he spoke.
"The Occamy is docile and can shrink its body at will. Besides, Naja is more obedient to you now," Newt scratched his head helplessly, then gave Sean a meaningful smile. "And you're quite experienced now, aren't you?"
"Experience? It's alright..." Sean chuckled dryly. Sure enough, Newt had already discovered that he had been secretly raising the Swooping Evil.
"Many times, Magical Creatures are more reliable than most people. Remember your experience, Sean. See you next time." With that, Newt walked up the stairs and left.
More reliable than people... Sean clicked his tongue. Indeed, once a simple-minded Magical Creatures has chosen you, it will almost never betray you. If you treat it well, it will treat you well in return.
Simple truths don't necessarily apply to humans, which is one of the reasons why Sean enjoys interacting with Magical Creatures.
He put the small teapot containing the Occamy Naja into his inner bag, then carefully instructed Dave not to bully it before returning to his dormitory with a smile on his face.
However, in addition to the Sheep Brain order, he also needed to buy some insects and mice.
The next day, after placing an order through an owl in Diagon Alley, Sean hurried to the basement of the castle's main building.
Today, he also has a detention from Snape.
Sean walked around the basement level and easily found Snape's office. Behind the crescent-shaped doorway was a wooden door with a snake pattern and a latch in the middle that could be pulled open from the inside.
Sean knocked on the door, and a moment later, the latch was quickly pulled open and closed, and the wooden door was pushed open.
Snape stood in the doorway with a gloomy expression.
"Come in," he said coldly.
Sean obediently went inside, but before he could even look around the room, Snape suddenly turned around.
He waved his wand, and the wooden door behind him closed automatically.
"Wallerup —Mr.," Snape gave him a look of disgust, "Can't you even close the door behind you?"
"Excuse me, Professor." Sean had a bit of a toothache; facing Snape one-on-one was really stressful...
Especially after he set off that firework.
Snape's office, like himself, was dark and gloomy, with nothing bright to be seen. On the shelves against the wall were many huge glass jars, with all sorts of disgusting specimens floating around inside.
Snape walked behind his desk, but instead of sitting down, he stared coldly at Sean.
"Professor, what do I need to do?" Sean asked.
"Wallerup," Snape finally spoke, leaning forward slightly, his tone filled with disgust, "Do you think it's something to be proud of to provoke the Dark Lord?"
