Pride's expression gradually turned cold again.
"Mortals... you are too arrogant."
He did not try to persuade Sean. Pride knew exactly what kind of person Sean was. Trying to reason with a boy even more arrogant than himself? That would only bring trouble upon himself.
Facing Pride, Sean chuckled and slowly floated into the air.
"Pride, I ought to be a little arrogant—and besides, do you have any other choice?"
Pride narrowed his eyes slightly, his thunderous voice deafening. "Mortal, you do not understand Mother's greatness. That is not your sin, nor is it something for which you deserve blame... What matters is that you do not understand your own insignificance."
Sean smiled indifferently. "Those things don't conflict. I'm just here to inform you that I'm preparing to go it alone. There's no way I'm giving you this Divine Realm—and besides, whether I succeed or not, you probably won't have another chance to fulfill your dream once this is over."
Pride frowned slightly. The source of his displeasure was not Sean's arrogance, but Sean's foolishness—or at least, that was how he saw it.
Of course, arrogance often led to foolishness.
After spending so long with this giant, Sean could more or less guess his thoughts just by looking at his expression. Sean curled his lip. "I don't have time to discuss too much with you right now—let's confirm one thing. When facing Herpo, we're on the same side, aren't we?"
Pride slowly nodded. "Herpo is my lifelong enemy."
"Then that settles it. I don't expect an inflexible big guy like you to cooperate with me wholeheartedly—but I need some information about the Realm of Illusion itself. That shouldn't be a problem, right?"
"Arrogant mortal..." Pride snorted. "I can tell you."
"Wonderful. You really are lovable when you're being smart—" Sean
