The Evil Gods were astonished.
"Seal you, and then what?" Kira shrugged. "A few years, maybe a decade, perhaps a century later, you come back again?
Then we wait for the next duelist to step forward and repeat today's cycle?"

Hadn't it always been this way?
The three of them had long forgotten what era they came from or how they had been born. But it seemed that ever since they had memories, things had always been like this.
They awakened and caused panic. Then a hero or king of that age stepped forward.
Sometimes they won, but even then, it was only temporary. Whenever they defeated one hero, another would rise, then another after that, until they were sealed away once more.
They were Evil Gods. Every resurrection brought terror and disaster, followed by sealing. It was like an inescapable, endless cycle. It had always been this way.
Yet this man apparently had no intention of doing that.
Where did he get such courage?
Was he not afraid of this evil power? Was he not afraid of being consumed by darkness?
