Diwein was startled when he saw the other man's stance.
This guy really wanted to make a move against him here?
In his own headquarters? Against him, the leader of the Psychic Duelists?
Who had given him that kind of nerve?
That was what Diwein had originally thought. But the next moment, the scene from earlier flashed through his mind.
Officer Godwin catching the Fireball he had launched with his bare hand, then crushing it in his palm.
There was definitely something strange about this officer today.
Unease churned within him, yet as time passed, his eyes not only failed to adjust to the darkness around them—the darkness seemed to grow thicker. Even the city lights outside the windows appeared to gradually vanish, as though the entire floor had fallen into an abyss.
"...Fine. Looks like a fight is unavoidable today."
Diwein took a deep breath, raised his Duel Disk as well, and shouted.
"Then come on. Officer of the Security Maintenance Bureau, I've long been curious what your dueling is capable of."
"Duel!" x2
Kira, LP 4000
Diwein, LP 4000
The indicator lights on Diwein's Duel Disk lit up. He glanced at them and curled his lips into a smile. "Heh. Looks like the goddess of victory has been on my side from the very beginning.
"I'll go first. Draw!"
Diwein drew a card, then immediately summoned a monster from his hand.
"Normal Summon the Tuner Monster, 'Ten'yantsū,' in Attack Position!"
The summoned monster wore a purple hat and resembled a clown. It looked like a circus jester; though half its face was concealed by its goggles and hat, its skin could be seen to be deathly pale, with an almost grotesque smile hanging from its lips. Its hands continuously performed a juggling act with several balls.
