Yusei: "My Turn, draw!"
Yusei drew with force, then slapped down a card from his hand.
"I activate the Spell Card 'Spellbook of the Buried'! Banish three Spell Cards from the Graveyard and draw three cards from the Deck!"
Jack shouted, "Yusei, go ahead and use my cards!"
Yusei nodded firmly. "I'll Banish three of Jack's Spell Cards from the Graveyard and draw three cards!"
By now, Jack's entire Deck had gone to the Graveyard, leaving him with as many Spell Cards for the cost as he needed. Yusei casually chose three from among them, and the three cards turned into golden light before flickering away.
"Mr. Kira." Yusei said seriously, "This should count as the first time we've truly met, right?"
"Probably." Kira replied blandly.
Though he had long been familiar with Yusei and the others, and they had already spent quite some time together, this was probably indeed their first "true meeting." After all, Yusei and the others had never seen his real face before.
"I still know almost nothing about you, but I know you've been helping us, sparing no effort to guide us onto the right path."
Yusei spoke with conviction.
"Whether it's to live up to everything my companions entrusted to me, or to live up to your goodwill, I'll give it everything I have!"
As he spoke, light gathered. The Signer Mark on Yusei's hand began to shine with a Red Glow, while the Signer Marks of all the Signers began releasing light as well, just as they had when Jack created a card moments ago.
But what happened next differed from Jack's card creation.
The Dragon Head Mark on the floating severed arm in the small cultivation tank Kira carried beside him vanished into thin air.
"So it's begun after all."
Kira smiled.
