Impostor Lua beamed, but his younger sister behind him immediately poured cold water on his excitement.
"Getting carried away again, Lua. Why didn't you summon my Ancient Fairy Dragon?"
"Huh!?"
Impostor Lua froze stiff, then looked back at his sister with some embarrassment.
"Ah, well, what I meant was... look, the duel has only just started. How could I play my trump card right away? Right? I'll use my Power Tool to test the opponent first, and if that doesn't work, we can have Ruka's Ancient Fairy Dragon finish things off. That, um..."
Impostor Lua stammered, but the gloomy little girl stared expressionlessly at him for a moment. Then, without saying anything, she lowered her head and went back to fiddling with her Kuriboh doll.
Impostor Lua let out a sigh of relief.
Thankfully, Ruka seemed to have accepted it. At least for now.
That meant he had to perform even better, or she would lose her temper in a moment.
There was nothing more terrifying in the world than Ruka losing her temper.
Muttering to himself, Impostor Lua raised his hand and played another card. "I activate the Equip Spell, 'Axe of Despair'!
"Equip it to 'Machine Dragon - Power Tool'!"
A savage axe with a demonic face appeared on the Field, and Power Tool Dragon grabbed it in one hand. Once it held the axe, its handle connected to the Machine Dragon's arm. Mechanical components seemed to extend from that arm and cover the axe's surface, as though the weapon had become part of its steel body.
