Although Mr. T's opening was utterly standard, Kira still tossed out a couple of insults as usual. "That was it? I didn't see any unheard-of new power. What a disappointment."
As he spoke, he shook his head with an exaggerated look of disappointment.
Mr. T sneered. "You'll see it soon enough, and then you'll be plunged into the abyss of despair. All right, it's your turn."
"Fine, I'll look forward to it for now. My Turn, Draw a Card!"
Kira added the card he had drawn to his hand, then drew another card from the other side of his hand and smiled.
"It's been a long time since I played this. Since we're back at Duel Academy, I might as well play it again.
"I summon 'Jet Synchron'!"
Transparent exhaust flames propelled it forward as a small red jet flew onto the Field. After circling twice in the air, it landed before Kira and transformed from an airplane into a robot. Cute, oversized eyes sprouted from either side of its cockpit, while its four tires served as its hands and feet.

Judai wore a nostalgic expression. "Oh, oh, Kira's earliest Vehicroid Deck."
In the original story, Judai would probably have called it "Sho's Vehicroid Deck." But in this Timeline Shift-altered GX Dimension, Kira's Vehicroid Deck was far more famous than Sho Marufuji's at Duel Academy. Most students who saw Sho playing Vehicroids assumed he was deliberately imitating the Yellow King. Even if Sho explained that he had played Vehicroids before enrolling, hardly anyone listened.
Kira had practically snatched the Vehicroid label entirely away from the original Sho Marufuji. Of course, that was probably a good thing for the Deck, since it avoided having its reputation dragged down by its weak Master. Now, it was
