Sea Dragon was not an especially powerful Xyz Monster, but it was still a monster of special significance. After all, it had been the first major obstacle Yuma Tsukumo encountered as the anime's protagonist, as well as the first Number Monster ever to appear in anime history.
As an Xyz Monster descended into this dimension for the first time, the number 17 surfaced on Mr. T's body. The few people present, all of whom possessed Supernatural Power to some degree, immediately sensed his aura surge dramatically.
Judai's eyes had long since become Supreme King's Golden Eyes. Through them, he could see a steady stream of power flowing from Sea Dragon into Mr. T. In Judai's vision, Mr. T looked as though his entire body were burning.
"What's going on?" Judai asked in surprise. "What's this Xyz and Number stuff? And this power..."
He frowned slightly.
It was not that the power of a mere Sea Dragon was outrageously strong. Judai had seen even stronger bosses before; he had been through plenty.
It was just that this monster with Number in its name seemed to contain something else. Not pure power, but some peculiar quality he had never seen before in any person or spirit.
And that quality instinctively made him feel that something was wrong.
"Then let me borrow the power of an Xyz Monster right away. Number 17: Sea Dragon's effect activates!"
Mr. T shouted.
"Once Per Turn, Sea Dragon can remove one Xyz Material from this card to gain 500 ATK!"
