Everyone's eyes widened as though they feared they might be mistaken, watching with their own eyes as the last sliver of Life Points belonging to the black shadow across from them—the one Kira had called a "god"—dropped away and hit zero.
"We won."
Crow stood there in a daze for two seconds, as if his brain needed a moment to process the sight before joy finally appeared on his face.
"We won!"
They had truly defeated even an opponent called a god. As expected of Kira!
Qiu smiled as well. "I told you so."
Qiu had been startled when she heard their opponent was some kind of god, but it had not taken long for her to calm down.
So what if he was a god? It did not matter who the opponent was. She knew Kira would win.
Because that was simply how strong this man was.
They were certainly surprised and puzzled that Kira had suddenly brought out the Earthbound Immortals, the representative cards of the Signers' old nemesis, but that did nothing to diminish their happiness at his victory.
Naturally, part of it was trust. Kira had earned it through both his strength and his actions. Ever since their final battle when Kira had impersonated Godwin, the members of the 5DS Team had essentially stopped doubting him.
To them, the Earthbound Immortals had indeed represented evil before this. But no matter how evil they were, they were still only cards. Compared to the faction a card represented, they clearly trusted Kira more.
Since Kira could use the Earthbound Immortals so freely, it meant he possessed both the ability and confidence to control them. If it was Kira, it would not be strange even for him to command such terrifying beings
