A transparent sonic roar spread outward, as though an invisible restriction had descended. Akhenaden's entire Field was instantly silenced, and the snarling Great Suns immediately lost their momentum.
His attacks had been sealed, yet Akhenaden showed no anger. Instead, a trace of approval grew in his eyes.
"I told you already—just as expected of you, Seto." Akhenaden spoke slowly. "Even with such outdated power, you can still defend effectively, counterattack, and delay my offensive. Just imagine what you could achieve if you gained even greater power!"
Akhenaden raised his voice and swept out a hand as he continued his play.
"Though I cannot make Attack Declarations this turn, that does not mean my offensive is over!" Akhenaden said. "I activate the effect of 'Double Sigma Great Sun'!
Once Per Turn, I can remove one Xyz Material to absorb one Attack Position Monster on my opponent's Field as an Equip Card!"
Kaiba: "What?!"
Akhenaden pointed at the dragon bathed in golden radiance on Kaiba's Field.
"I absorb 'Emperor Flying Wind Dragon' as an Equip Card!"
One of the three orbiting Xyz Materials was drawn into Sigma's body as if pulled by an unseen force. The glittering Golden Dragon let out an unwilling cry, but it could do nothing but transform into a golden Light Orb and become absorbed, attaching itself to Double Sigma Great Sun.
Kaiba lightly gritted his teeth.
Emperor Flying Wind Dragon had actually been another hidden backup he had set up. If Emperor Flying Wind Dragon was destroyed and Sent to Graveyard, it could return one Monster on the Field to its owner's hand.
It should have been an extremely powerful bounce effect, capable of activating whether the dragon was destroyed by battle or Effect Destruction.
