By the time they arrived at the Academy Army's stronghold, Yusei had practically torn through the entire fortress.

That was not particularly surprising, though. The Academy Army's leader in the Standard Dimension had already been defeated by Yugi, their second-in-command had been instantly taken out by Kira, and Joey Wheeler had dealt with one of their officers as well.

There had not been many capable fighters in the locally stationed Academy Army to begin with. Their strongest had all been dealt with, and the remaining remnants had already ceased operations, waiting for new instructions from headquarters outside the dimension or for reinforcements to be transferred in. At this point, headquarters no longer had any Duelists capable of threatening Yusei.

When Kira and Yugi arrived, Yusei appeared to be facing off against the leader of the Academy remnants, and the battle had already reached its final stage.
