Though both were Pharaohs, this one had nothing to do with Atem, the most famous Pharaoh in the Yu-Gi-Oh! series. This card originated from one of the Seven Stars in Yu-Gi-Oh! GX's Sacred Beasts arc, a so-called undefeated god of war who was in truth only invincible because his subordinates had deliberately let him win at cards his entire life.

In Kira's dimension, the Seven Stars faction had long since been brought under his command, and dedicated teams had naturally been established to develop the archetype Decks wielded by the Seven Stars.

The First, Second, and Third Sarcophagus Deck that Pharaoh used in the original anime was rather useless, but Kira personally quite liked this Pharaoh card that had been created afterward.
