In a single turn, he had brought out Rampaging Death Dragon, capable of sweeping the entire field, along with Great Beast - Gazelle with a full 6000 ATK. He had even had the spare capacity to set up his back row as further insurance.

Kaiba raised the card in his hand. In an instant, it seemed to unleash endless radiance, while a storm swept up behind him.

"I activate the Spell Card 'Burst Stream of Destruction' from my hand!"

Fujimoto's eyelid twitched. "A Spell with the same name as Blue-Eyes' attack?"

"At the cost of preventing my Blue-Eyes White Dragon from declaring an attack this turn, all monsters on your field are destroyed!" Kaiba clenched his right fist. "Trash, be crushed beneath the power of Blue-Eyes!"

Blue-Eyes White Dragon opened its jaws, and endless radiance poured forth, transforming into a white storm that annihilated everything!

"It won't be that easy!" Fujimoto waved his hand. "I activate my Set Card, the Trap Card 'Safe Zone'!

"This card can target one Attack Position monster I control. As long as 'Safe Zone' remains On the Field, the selected monster cannot be targeted by my opponent's card effects, nor can it be destroyed by battle or card effects!"

He pointed at the enormous 6000 ATK monster on his field.

"I use 'Safe Zone' to protect Great Beast - Gazelle On the Field from being destroyed!"

An absolutely safe shield began to form across the field, like an invisible force-field barrier enveloping Great Beast - Gazelle and granting it nearly invincible resistance.

Six thousand ATK and nearly invincible resistance—this was the source of his confidence.

"Oh, not a bad idea. But!"

Kaiba's voice rose several notches as he played another card from his hand.

"Before your 'Safe Zone' takes effect, I activate the Quick-Play Spell 'Inherited Soul' from my hand!

"By tributing one Effect Monster I control, I can send one Effect Monster you control to the Graveyard.

"Therefore, I tribute my other Swift Squirrel On the Field and choose your Great Beast - Gazelle to be Sent to Graveyard!"

After a pause, he added with a cold sneer, "Your 'Safe Zone' has not taken effect yet, so naturally your Great Beast can still be selected as an effect target.

"Disappear."

A powerful vortex of energy erupted from the card and swallowed Gazelle in an instant. The pitiful Great Beast was caught amid the effects of several cards interwoven together, and after a series of exchanges, it seemed unable to escape death in the end.

"During the turn I activated 'Inherited Soul,' I can only attack with one monster," Kaiba said calmly. "However, Blue-Eyes White Dragon could not attack anyway during the turn I used Burst Stream of Destruction.

"Then I activate the Spell Card 'Advance Draw.' I tribute a Level 8 or higher monster On the Field to draw two cards from my deck. I tribute Blue-Eyes White Dragon On the Field and draw!"

After drawing, he merely glanced at the cards before immediately activating one of them.

"Spell Card 'Trade-In.' I discard a Level 8 monster from my hand and draw two cards. I discard another Blue-Eyes White Dragon and draw from my deck."

Unease began to rise in Fujimoto's heart again.

He had sent Blue-Eyes White Dragons to the Graveyard one after another. What was he trying to do now?

Fujimoto's field was as clean as a blank sheet of paper. He had no choice but to face the godlike pressure of the Ultimate Dragon, struggling only to control his increasingly uncooperative legs.
