"Trap Card, Mirror of Cursed Words!"

Ganmaru raised his hand.

"Mirror of Cursed Words can only be activated when the opponent Special Summons a monster from their Deck. Destroy those monsters, then draw one card from your Deck!"

Kira understood.

"Army Dragon was Special Summoned from the Deck."

"Correct," Ganmaru said. "Therefore, Mirror of Cursed Words' effect destroys Army Dragon!"

A pitch-black mirror surfaced, reflecting Army Dragon's image. A crimson vortex opened at its center, and a tremendous gravitational force seemed to pull Army Dragon inside, shredding it to pieces within the whirlpool.

"With Army Dragon destroyed, you have no more monsters to launch Suicide Attacks against the Black Scorpion Thief Gang," Ganmaru said. "Your combo has been broken!"

"Seems that way."

Kira shrugged.

"That was indeed impressive. I can't believe you even countered that move. It used to work so well."

The Black Scorpions, who had been high-fiving and celebrating just moments ago, froze in place. They looked at one another, not knowing what to say.
