Kira turned Ganmaru’s attempt to stop his Jackpot 7 combo into a trap, using Morphing Jar #2 to force the last Jackpot 7 from the top of his Deck into the Graveyard. The third Jackpot 7 was banished, completing Kira’s victory condition and leaving Ganmaru facing defeat.

Ch. 671Mole Strikes!

Aster Phoenix challenged Judai Yuki to a duel at Duel Academy, hoping to test the prophecy that Judai might change his fate. Judai repeatedly stopped Aster’s powerful Destiny HEROes with Neo-Spacian Grand Mole, then began using Aqua Dolphin as the duel continued.

  • Aster arrived at Duel Academy and chose Judai Yuki, rather than Kira, as his challenger.
  • Aster summoned Destiny HERO - Dreadmaster, but Judai used Neo-Spacian Grand Mole to return it to Aster’s hand.

After Judai defeated Aster, Aster’s faith in Saiō’s prophecies collapsed. Saiō Misuchi invited Kira to duel in the Link System, and the chapter ended with her opening turn underway.

Ch. 673Silver Shikigami

Kira and Misuzu began their duel, with Kira targeting Misuzu’s Moon Ring Mirror before defending against her Silver Shikigami’s direct attack. Misuzu’s attack remained blocked by Kira’s Air Circle monsters as the duel continued.

  • Kira used Take Over 5, then tried to destroy Misuzu’s Moon Ring Mirror with Magic Eraser, but Misuzu redirected the effect with Pandora’s Treasure and drew two cards.

Misuzu explained how the Light of Destruction took control of Saiō Takuma through Destiny HERO - Plasma and revealed his plan involving Satellite Sky. Kira said he could save Saiō and asked Misuzu to help, and she agreed.

  • Misuzu told Kira that Saiō had changed after the Light of Destruction possessed him through Destiny HERO - Plasma.
  • Misuzu revealed that she planned to digitize her soul and stay in the Digital World to protect Saiō.

Ch. 680Excavation

Kira joined Mokuba Kaiba and Pegasus Tsukikage at Industrial Illusions to review Deck research and discuss a proposed project on Yugi Mutou. Their meeting shifted to an archaeological discovery in Europe, where Industrial Illusions had found something connected to Gladiator Beast.

Kira learned that Pegasus Tsukikage’s team had uncovered ancient Gladiator Beast tablets in Europe, and agreed to help with their study. Elsewhere, Saiō Takuma’s plans continued to unravel until an unexpected visitor appeared.

  • Pegasus Tsukikage explained to Kira and Mokuba that his team had found Gladiator Beast tablets in European ruins and described their links to Ancient Rome.
  • Tsukihiko told Kira the tablets were stored at an Illusion Industrial branch for testing and would be transported to headquarters if they proved safe.
  • Tsukihiko revealed that Illusion Industrial and KaibaCorp had signed a joint development agreement, and Kira agreed to assist with the tablets.
  • Saiō Takuma overturned his table in anger after another Tarot reading showed that events were slipping beyond his control.
