Saiō's pupils contracted as he stared at the figure seated in the chair in astonishment.

"It's me," Kira said.

"The Duel King?"

"It's just an insignificant title," Kira said modestly.

A large part of why he had changed his plans and avoided Duel Academy all this time was precisely because of this man.

It was not that he feared the Duel King. Even if he was called a king, he was only the king of this planet. Saiō's true form was the Light of Destruction from the depths of the universe, and he naturally considered himself superior to others upon arriving here.

He paused, then asked, "Could Kira also be here to visit His Highness? If so, then I shall take my leave first and return another day—"

Kira laughed. Was he actually trying to run after realizing the situation was unfavorable?

Before he could speak, however, a woman's voice rang out from the darkness.
