"Grim Reaper Duelist?"

Judai, Manjoume, Sho Marufuji, and the others gathered around the bed, looking at the unconscious duelist they had picked up in the wilderness.

"This guy?"

Sho Marufuji rested his chin on his hand.

"He looks pretty ordinary, nothing special."

"But there's a skull on his hand. It does look kind of creepy."

"I found something."

Manjoume walked in holding a terminal. Everyone beside him leaned over to look at its screen.

On the screen was a photo of a man wearing a familiar-looking student uniform. Compared to the unconscious man on the bed, the man in the photo looked less weathered and much younger, but it was undeniably the same person.

"This guy is from the Northern Branch School."

Manjoume had personally been there.

"His name is Kaku Ichijou."

But before they could look any further, the man on the bed suddenly jolted upright.

"My Deck! My Deck! Where's my Deck!?"

Judai smiled and brought over his Duel Disk. "Relax, your Deck is right here."

Kaku Ichijou hurriedly snatched it from him, pulled out his Deck, and nervously checked each card one by one to see whether anything was missing.

He had heard the rumors about Duel Academy Main Campus. Apparently, the place had become seriously cursed over the past two years. No one knew when it started, but a terrible trend of snatching Decks and stealing Rare Cards had emerged. If someone had stolen one of his essential ace cards, he might as well die.

"You seem like a pretty good guy," Judai said with a grin.

"What?"

Everyone in the room, including Kaku Ichijou, looked at him strangely.

I sold my soul to the Grim Reaper, and I'm still a pretty good guy?

"Because you seem to really love your Deck." Judai sounded completely justified.
