"A one-turn-kill Grim Reaper?"

Kira frowned, propping up his chin as he tried to recall.

Hmm, he seemed to have heard that name somewhere before. It just felt like a very distant memory, and he could not remember it clearly now.

"Can you give me a hint?" Kira asked.

"It seems to be a legend that has been circulating around the Duel Academy for some time, but I had not heard of it before either."

As Mina spoke, she naturally walked into the room. She had been about to sit down beside Kira's bed, but froze halfway there when she noticed that Silent Magician, dressed in a student uniform, had somehow already taken the spot beside the bed.

With her usual cool expression, Silent Magician seemed focused on flipping through some tome and did not even glance in their direction. Yet she seemed to radiate an unspoken air of dominance, as though declaring ownership over something.

Mina sheepishly backed away, not daring to step forward any farther. She could only stand awkwardly to the side, clear her throat, and continue.

"In fact, more students have been sent to the infirmary these past two days. Many of them became delirious after duels and suffered injuries that should have been impossible to sustain in a duel."

Kira gave it some thought.

"Could it be modified Duel Disks?" Kira asked. "This kind of thing has happened before. Some criminals modify the Solid Vision Impact System for thrills, and that can cause damage beyond the safety limit."

Such behavior was generally more common in underground black-market duels, though.

But Mina shook her head.

"No, the injuries are different from that kind. I am a professional school doctor, after all. The distinction is pretty obvious."

Kira narrowed his eyes.
