The magnificent Blue-Eyes Duel Arena's entire dome looked like the enormous head of a Blue-Eyes White Dragon lying on the ground. Inside, the venue roared with voices as countless excited hearts beat in unison, weaving a grand prelude.
The stands were packed to capacity. As the match drew near, the clamor converged into an unstoppable torrent, with cheers and applause rising one after another as though they might lift the Blue-Eyes White Dragon dome right off.
This was the Professional League's premier championship tournament, an event that drew tremendous attention. Major television networks broadcast the matches live, and more than half the people at Duel Academy were watching on TV as well.
Judai and his underlings thought the television in the Red Dorm was too small, too shabby, and prone to poor reception, so they asked Kira if they could borrow his. Kira had no objection and nothing to inconvenience him, so he invited them over to watch at his place.

The spotlight focused on the center of the arena, revealing a scruffy, heavily bearded man. He wore a straitjacket, his hands still bound in shackles, looking as though he had truly just broken out of prison and rushed over to play cards.
