Genius Doctor

Daichi Misawa was the first to cry out in surprise. "Doctor!?"

The other two looked at Misawa in confusion.

"You know him?"

"You don't?"

Misawa turned to look at them, his expression practically incredulous.

"This is a titan of Duel Physics, a heavyweight figure, a recipient of the Nobeli Prize—Dr. Bynstein!"

Kira: "?"

The name Bynstein was ridiculous enough already, but what the hell was a Nobeli Prize?

Still, after Misawa mentioned it, Kira seemed to recall something.

There did seem to be such a doctor in Yu-Gi-Oh! GX. Just as his name suggested, he was basically a parody of some famous figure. Even the photo shown when he appeared had him sticking his tongue out at the camera, practically wearing the word "homage" on his face.

In the anime, this doctor had been recruited by Prince Ojin, whom Saiō had brainwashed and turned pale. His mission was to defeat Judai in a duel and take the Satellite "Sky" Keys from him.

Of course, the outcome went without saying. The doctor had proven through practice that logic and calculations were powerless before a God Draw. Judai easily defeated him, once again defending the honor of the God Draw faction.

"Oh? I didn't expect a student to recognize me. Not bad, not bad."

Dr. Bynstein looked at Misawa, nodded approvingly, and wore an expression that said he was teachable.

"Of course! Doctor, you're my idol!" Misawa's face was full of fervor. "I've read every one of your papers, especially your Grand Unified Theory of Dueling. It was absolutely brilliant!"

The doctor was quite pleased to encounter a fan and could not help giving a slight nod. "You've got potential, youngster. When the opportunity arises, I can personally give you some pointers. But today, I have another task."
