Cartoon Kingdom, activate!

A gigantic book appeared on Pegasus's Field, fluttering open with a rustle. A tiny cartoon castle emerged from the opened book, torches burning on either side of its gates as red banners fluttered in the wind atop it.

"To activate Cartoon Kingdom, I must Banish the top five cards of my Deck." (Anime effect)

Pegasus calmly drew the top five cards from his Deck.

"Cartoon... Kingdom?"

Joey Wheeler found it a little strange and immediately raised his guard.

Pegasus claimed to have retired, but it seemed he had not been completely idle all these years. Joey was certain the Pegasus from back then had not possessed this card.

Joey knew Pegasus used the Toon Series. It was an exclusive Deck the Father of Duel Monsters had printed for himself, the only one of its kind in the world. Its monsters were all cute, chibi, mischievous-looking characters.

But back then, the key card of Pegasus's Toon Series had been the Continuous Spell "Cartoon World." All Toon Monsters had to rely on Cartoon World being On the Field to remain in play. At the very least, Joey had never heard of "Cartoon Kingdom" back then.

Cartoon Kingdom had originally been the card Pegasus used when he reappeared in Yu-Gi-Oh! GX. However, Cartoon Kingdom had not immediately received a Physical Card Adaptation at the time; it was only included exclusively in the classic game Tag Force from the same period.

The Cartoon Kingdom in Tag Force had effects identical to those in the anime, and both were Continuous Spells. But after its Physical Card Adaptation, Cartoon Kingdom was changed into a Field Spell, and its effects were modified to a certain extent.
