This development truly caught everyone off guard.

Even Mokuba, who had the most confidence in Kira, had thought until the very end that Kira had given up on winning. Kira's performance really did make it seem as though the duel had been solely to provoke his opponent and complete the task of awakening Rainbow Dragon, with no desire for victory beyond that.

Who would have thought that, during his opponent's turn, he would pull out several inexplicable cards from nowhere, then use a blatantly rigged coin toss to carry Johan and Rainbow Dragon away in one fell swoop.

Johan himself was dumbfounded.

Before the duel, he had not thought about winning or losing at all, nor had he believed he stood much of a chance against the Duel King. But during that last turn, he had truly thought he was about to win.

Rainbow Dragon had even been awakened, and the atmosphere had built to that point, yet this sudden reversal nearly threw his back out.
