When Kira, standing on the Duel Arena, saw the girl in a Yellow Dorm uniform running excitedly toward him with stars practically shining in her eyes, he could barely suppress the urge to make a sarcastic remark.
Shouldn't Lord Kira be a fan of Judai's?
And hadn't she been in Slifer Red before this?
Saotome Rei was actually a gifted prodigy who had skipped grades. At her age, she should still have been in middle school. Her exceptional grades had allowed her to skip ahead and enroll early at Duel Academy, and with her impressive performance in the GX Tournament, she had even had a chance to enter the Blue Dorm as an exception.
Yet in the original story, she had stubbornly given up the chance to join the elite dorm and insisted on staying in the Red Dorm. The reason was simple: to get closer to Judai.
Rei was hopelessly romance-minded. Back in elementary school, she had secretly snuck into Duel Academy just to get close to her idol, Zane Truesdale.
But after being defeated by Judai in a duel at the academy, she had turned around and become infatuated with Judai instead. She worked hard with Judai as her goal, and coming to Duel Academy had mainly been for that purpose.
But looking at the girl's little yellow vest and those sparkling eyes that seemed ready to give off light, Kira realized that Judai's little fangirl might have been snatched away by him.
But heaven knew he was innocent. He had never even met this girl before. And during his first year, he had not stolen Judai's duel with Rei either. Judai should have gone up himself, that was right.
Rei arrived at the Duel Arena, her face red. "Um... Lord Kira, I came to Duel
