The two arrived at Fudge's office and were about to knock when a plump body that had appeared before them with startling speed blocked the doorway.
Kayson looked down at the pink woman whose bulging eyes resembled a toad's, a question mark slowly appearing above his head.
"Oh, Headmaster Dumbledore, Professor Kayson, do you have an appointment? I'm terribly sorry to stop you, but it's my duty. I cannot allow insignificant people and matters to disturb the Minister's work," the pink woman said with a sickly smile.
"Our business is very important, Umbridge."
"Oh... and who is to say?" Umbridge said, drawing back her neck.
"Who is this woman?" Kayson looked at Dumbledore and bluntly asked, making no effort to lower his voice despite the woman standing right in front of him.
"Dolores Umbridge, Senior Undersecretary to the Ministry of Magic, sir," Umbridge introduced herself.
"Oh... the Ministry of Magic is doomed if it employs people like you."
Umbridge's brow furrowed, though her face had never been particularly smooth to begin with.
Kayson reached out, shoved her aside, and moved to open the office door. Umbridge's face turned livid. "This is the sacred and inviolable Ministry of Magic, not your Hogwarts office!"
"Oh."
Kayson merely said "oh" and opened the Minister's office door.
"Oh... Professor Kayson, and Dumbledore. What brings you here?" Fudge, who was sitting in his chair studying a cigar, broke into a smile the moment he saw Kayson.
"Minister, these two had no appointment. They even barged into your office without knocking. You should have the Aurors—"
"Umbridge, shut the door when you leave," Fudge interrupted.
"What?"
"I said, shut the door when you leave."
"The door... Oh, of course. As you wish, Minister," Umbridge said. She was initially stunned, then immediately put on a fawning smile
