Kayson and Professor McGonagall left the office together. The former headed toward Dumbledore's office with a clatter of footsteps, while the latter carried her textbooks off to teach the young wizards.

Before long, Kayson arrived outside Dumbledore's office. Listening to the sounds inside, he did not even need to look to know who was there.

"Dumbledore... good, Grindelwald is here too. Professor McGonagall asked me to ask you something." Kayson, who had never been in the habit of knocking, pushed the door open and walked straight in, speaking without the slightest reservation.

"I already told him that he won't be teaching the young wizards the Unforgivable Curses again." Seeing Kayson barge in, Dumbledore could guess with his knees what he had come to ask and hurriedly answered.

Kayson shook his head. "No, no, no... Professor McGonagall asked me whether you knew about this beforehand."

Dumbledore raised an eyebrow. "Mm... why did she ask you to ask that?"

"No idea... maybe she wants an excuse to rush up here, smash your office to pieces, and then leave in style," Kayson said casually.

Dumbledore had been about to say that he had only just found out himself, but his clever mind quickly began turning.

Office smashed = office renovation.

What a good thing!

"I knew about it beforehand, but I never did anything about it... uh... I thought he knew where to draw the line." Dumbledore spoke without hesitation, saying whatever would provoke Professor McGonagall the most, whatever would make her rush into his office and wreck the place.

Rebellious to the core.

Grindelwald, who had been sitting on the sofa, raised an eyebrow...

Hadn't he kept it hidden from Dumbledore all along? When had Dumbledore found out?

Or did Hogwarts have other surveillance measures and contingencies he had yet to uncover?
