"Ha... Ah..."
Kayson slowly sat up from his bed, then mechanically dressed, Ender teleportation out of the office, and headed towards the Great Hall.
After sitting down in the High Table, he looked at the food in front of him and scratched his head. "Won't eating such a lavish meal so early in the morning be bad for my stomach?"
Dumbledore glanced at Kayson, thinking the boy might be asleep and confused, "It's noon, this is lunch."
"Oh, I'm sorry. So, what happened this morning wasn't a dream?" Kayson continued.
"It's a shame, but the truth is, even though you did a lot of really stupid things back then, they were all genuine," Snape added, sitting on the other side of Kayson.
"Okay." Kayson lowered his head, wanting nothing more than to disappear into the lamb chops in front of him and avoid being seen by anyone else.
However, Dumbledore clearly had no intention of letting him have his way, and eventually forcefully pulled Kayson out of the lamb chop again.
"I took your advice and had the portrait monitor Maple Loglin," Dumbledore said quietly.
"So." Kayson blinked, waiting for what was to come.
"In just one morning, I seemed to see a very familiar yet strange shadow of myself. Tom Riddle, of course, this Tom Riddle was a woman."
Kayson nodded. "So you've confirmed it?"
Dumbledore shook his head. "Of course not, there's one last step. The school has a difficult task for you now."
"Actually, I don't really want to accept this difficult task." Kayson clicked his tongue.
"Why?" Dumbledore raised an eyebrow.
"Because if I miss a class, I'll need a substitute teacher, and I don't want you to substitute for me. After all, you're an outsider," Kayson said quietly.
"The timing of this mission is perfect; you definitely didn't have any classes at the time," Dumbledore said with a sigh of relief.
"Hmm? Wait a minute, let me guess. Are you planning to have me sneak over to Maple Luo's house around Christmas and see if there are any clues?" Kayson's expression suddenly turned awkward.
"If Professor Trelawney ever retires, I will definitely let you fill the vacancy of the Divination." Dumbledore slowly revealed a large tooth.
Christmas has arrived in the blink of an eye. This time, in order to allow Maple Luo's family and give Kayson the opportunity to follow them, Dumbledore deliberately did not even issue the paperwork for staying at school during the Christmas holidays.
Kayson was even more ruthless. Regardless of whether you were an orphan or from an unhappy family, if you were not from Hogwarts, he would directly issue you a fake allowance. Even if you had to sleep in a hotel, you had to leave Hogwarts.
Of course, since he dared to come up with such an idea, he was absolutely not afraid that Maple Luo would shamelessly try to take the allowance. After all, if Maple Luo were really Voldemort, he would never do such out-of-character things, such as having a Pure-blood identity but then being greedy for a few measly things.
Isn't this kind of OOC (out-of-character) behavior clearly a sign that there's something wrong with the person in question?
"Something's not right..." In the Headmaster's Office, Dumbledore and Kayson stood side by side in front of the window, watching the young wizards carrying their trinkets onto the train. The former suddenly exclaimed in surprise.
"What's wrong?" Kayson frowned.
"Neither Maple Luo nor Tom are short of money. What if she leaves school without going home and instead finds a hotel to stay in?" Dumbledore said.
"What else can we do? Go to the water meter and then have the FBI raid the place and take him into custody. Not staying home on Christmas and just wandering around outside, what else could this be but Voldemort?" Kayson bluntly stated.
"What if they're just having a conflict with their father?" Dumbledore said speechlessly, his half-moon eyes wide open.
"Give me a bottle of Veritaserum, and come with me. If it's not true, erase my memory." Kayson sighed helplessly.
"I'll go get it for you."
Unfortunately, none of the plans Kayson and Dumbledore devised were ever used.
Maple Luo quietly and unremarkably stepped off the Hogwarts Express, arrived at Platform Nine and Three-Quarters, left the platform with a pair of young wizards, and finally Apparition away through a small alley in London.
"Can you find me?" Kayson looked at Dumbledore beside him.
"It's difficult."
As soon as Dumbledore speaking, Kayson quickly pulled out his Time-Flow Pocket Watch, pressed the rewind button, and the world turned gray. Kayson seized the opportunity to throw a wisp of Ender Power towards the Apparition family of three.
Five seconds later, Kayson sensed the location of that Ender Power and raised an eyebrow. "Found the location."
After he finished speaking, he immediately enveloped himself and Dumbledore with the Enderman field, and when he opened his eyes again, they found themselves in front of a dilapidated mansion.
" Gaunt Shack ..." Dumbledore sighed as he looked at the old house in front of him.
"I knew I couldn't fool you." Maple Luo's voice came from behind the two men. Kayson and Dumbledore looked up at Maple Luo, who was still wearing his Hogwarts uniform, or rather, Voldemort.
Kayson didn't act immediately, and the reason was quite reasonable. Since Voldemort had already confirmed that he and Dumbledore had locked onto him, and had even done something like this offline, yet he still dared to appear in front of them, he must have some kind of reliance that neither of them knew about.
" Tom, now that we've found you, let's remove the Confundus Charm," Dumbledore said with a sigh.
Voldemort smiled and said, "Alright."
As he waved his wand, the next moment, Kayson and Dumbledore's faces turned ashen.
The Confundus Charm was indeed removed, and Voldemort in front of him still looked like Maple Luo.
"I regret that I did use the Confundus Charm, but the Confundus Charm did not confuse me to become the so-called Maple Luo, but rather to confuse you to believe that I am Maple Luo."
"But now, a real Maple Luo, a real Hogwarts junior wizard, stands before you. What will you do then?"
Maple Luo, or perhaps Voldemort, looked at Kayson and Dumbledore with a smug expression. Suddenly, Kayson spoke up, "And what about Maple Luo? What's her situation now?"
