After leaving Borgin and Burkes, Kayson stood in the middle of the road with his hands on his hips.

He was pondering which shop to visit next when a commotion nearby caught his attention.

A roughly middle-aged wizard was repeatedly using his wand and a Banishing Charm to drive away a young wizard who looked utterly down-and-out.

The young wizard held a crystal block filled with white mist in his arms, about the size of a basketball.

After the shopkeeper who had driven him away returned to his store, the destitute wizard took out his wand, seemingly about to Apparate away.

Seeing this, Kayson hurriedly called out, "Wait, sir!"

The destitute wizard looked over, somewhat puzzled.

"Sir, would you mind if I chipped off a small piece of that crystal for an experiment?" Kayson asked.

The destitute wizard thought for a moment, then set the crystal down. "Help yourself, sir."

Kayson nodded, took out a small pick, and chipped off a piece. He placed the fragment into the Arcane Crafting Table, and delight quickly spread across his face.

"Order Magic Crystal acquired! Name your price."

The destitute wizard cautiously held up five fingers.

"Five hundred Galleons? Hold on, let me check... Do you accept cash? Or we can exchange names and addresses. I'm Hogwarts's Alchemy professor, so you needn't worry about being unable to find me, or about me skipping out on the debt!"

Kayson opened his Ender Chest ring and looked inside. Unfortunately, he had spent a large portion of his semester's salary on alcohol.

Shameless Dumbledore!

"Uh, I meant... five..."

"Five thousand gold Galleons... that works too. Stay right here, don't move. I'll go pull off a big score at Gringotts..." As he spoke, Kayson was about to teleport to Gringotts, muttering, "This is definitely the last time."
