Background / History
The Strength Clan was one of the Four Single-Attribute Sects formerly affiliated with the Clear Sky Sect. After the Clear Sky Sect abandoned the four clans, each scattered and settled in separate cities. Unlike the Breaking Clan, the Strength Clan retained a strong connection to Tang Hao through its patriarch, Titan. 67 135
Oscar initially regarded the clan as a difficult recruitment target. Titan's loyalty to Tang Hao was considered absolute, while the clan's forging specialty could potentially be replaced through the Blacksmith Association. 67
When the Breaking Clan, Defense Clan, and Speed Clan were recruited by the Spiritual Jade Sword Sect, their patriarchs jointly invited Titan to join. Titan refused, claiming he no longer wished to serve another organization after being abandoned by the Clear Sky Sect. He nevertheless promised that the Strength Clan would assist the other three clans if needed. 144
Titan's refusal was driven by Tang Hao's return several months earlier. Tang Hao had come to the clan seeking forces for his future revenge against Spirit Hall, and Titan immediately recognized him as his master. 144
Over the following two years, the clan continued manufacturing military equipment for the Heaven Dou royal family while secretly stockpiling supplies, recruiting nobles and Soul Master forces hostile to Spirit Hall, and building an armed force under Tang Hao's direction. A concealed Titled Douluo supported these efforts. 219
Tang Hao later had the Strength Clan renamed as the Tang Sect. The clan began dismantling and forging Tang San's Hidden Weapons, becoming the Tang Sect's practical foundation. 309 Despite Tang Hao's reconciliation with the Clear Sky Sect, the Tang Sect could not merge with it: Titan acknowledged Tang Hao personally but did not acknowledge the sect that had once abandoned his clan. 338
