Kidnapped

After turning onto another road, Li Mu Chuan let out a sigh of relief.

He looked back and, after confirming no one was following him, finally relaxed.

But before Li Mu Chuan had taken more than a few steps, he noticed someone following behind him.

Alarmed, Li Mu Chuan kept his steps steady. He calmly turned to look, only to find that it was a passerby.

Just as Li Mu Chuan was still on guard, the passerby quickened his pace and approached him. "Kid, what are you doing?"

The passerby was a man with a somewhat long face. The smile on his face struck Li Mu Chuan as rather fake.

"Nothing."

Being in a foreign land, Li Mu Chuan was naturally wary of strangers like this.

"I saw you earlier. You saw the police questioning people and immediately turned down another road."

The passerby looked at Li Mu Chuan with a broad smile. The next moment, a slender pen appeared in his hand.

"Are you going to come with me quietly, or should I stun you with this and take you away?"

Seeing the pen in the man's hand, Li Mu Chuan immediately groaned inwardly. Wasn't that the electric pen he had seen when searching online before?

It could knock someone unconscious with ease.

Damn it. This guy didn't look like any kind of official.

Li Mu Chuan regretted it bitterly. He would have been better off letting the police question him earlier.

The man stepped forward, seized Li Mu Chuan, and swiftly moved ahead.

A moment later, the two reached the roadside. A vehicle immediately pulled up beside them and carried them away into the night.

The vehicle flew all the way before finally stopping in front of a rather upscale house.

Li Mu Chuan considered it upscale because it was a detached home, and its decor was fairly nice as well.

The vehicle stopped on a second-floor platform, and the man beside him led Li Mu Chuan out.

The man had even specifically searched Li Mu Chuan earlier. Only after confirming that he carried no communication devices did he relax.

"Who exactly are you people?"

Li Mu Chuan could not hold it in any longer. He was a grown man; they could not have gone to the trouble of kidnapping him just to kill him, could they?

But organ trafficking did not seem very likely either.

At the current level of technology, organs for transplants were all cloned.

The man beside him did not answer and led Li Mu Chuan into the living room.

At a glance, there were six or seven people in the living room, leisurely eating and drinking.

"Water Monkey, check this guy's information."

The man forced Li Mu Chuan over to them.

The person called Water Monkey glanced at Li Mu Chuan, then took out a device and scanned his face. Li Mu Chuan's facial data was subsequently transmitted to a computer nearby.

Water Monkey immediately began operating the computer.

"Why did you bring me here?"

"My name is Huang Yuan. I brought you back because I want to offer you a job. Since you're an illegal immigrant, you should have a way to get back out. I'll give you something, and you help me take it out. When the time comes, I'll give you one hundred thousand and help you sort out your identity documents here in Huaxia. How does that sound?"

Huang Yuan clapped his hands, his smile brilliant.

"Brother Huang? Can you really trust someone you brought back so casually?"

Water Monkey looked coldly at Li Mu Chuan, still somewhat doubtful.

"I'm a good judge of people. I'm sure there's no problem. Besides, I'm carrying a detection device. That kid's heartbeat and brainwave fluctuations when he saw the police earlier couldn't have been faked.

"More importantly, even with your skills, you couldn't find this guy's identity information. Do you think he could be an undercover agent?"

Huang Yuan looked utterly confident.

The device in his hand had originally been for internal official use. He had only gotten hold of it through a few underhanded means.

In the past, they had also used illegal immigrants like this to help transport plenty of contraband out.

But recently, they had lost many of their people and had been unable to replenish their ranks. He had happened to spot Li Mu Chuan, so he brought him back.

After speaking, Huang Yuan turned to Li Mu Chuan again. "So? As long as you help us take something out, you'll be able to settle down in Huaxia afterward if you want."

Li Mu Chuan hesitated slightly, then nodded heavily after a moment. "Fine, but you have to keep your word!"

The smile on Huang Yuan's face grew even brighter. "Very good. But just in case, swallow this capsule."

As he spoke, Huang Yuan rummaged through a cabinet beside him, pulled out a box of medicine, and took out a capsule.

"Don't worry. As long as you successfully deliver the item, I guarantee you'll be fine afterward."

Li Mu Chuan looked at the scene and sighed. "Do I have any room to choose?"

As he spoke, Li Mu Chuan took the capsule, picked up a glass of water from beside him, placed the capsule in his mouth, and swallowed it with a sip of water.

Huang Yuan clapped repeatedly, thinking Li Mu Chuan was very sensible.
