Compared with the crushing dominance Gallade and Spiritomb displayed over the little kids as Pseudo-Elite Four Pokémon, Cacturne's domination over opponents at the same level was what truly beat them into submission.

Mark also wanted to pull off something like his boss, but then he thought of his only two Pokémon that had not broken through to Pseudo-Elite Four: Reuniclus and Phione.

The latter had not even reached Elite Level, while the former did not possess Cacturne's absurd recovery ability.

Reuniclus was ultimately only a powerful Elite-Level Pokémon. It could not keep crushing opponents of the same level through consecutive battles.
