"Meal time!"
At Sato's shout, a flock of Starly was startled from the trees, while the Pokémon belonging to the two of them gathered around the dining table.
After arranging each Pokémon's meal, Sato untied his apron and finally sighed in relief.
Whenever this happened, he couldn't help but think of the days when George had been by his side.
But everyone had dreams. Sato couldn't stop his brother from going out and exploring just because he was missing a chef.
"Umbreon!"
Unbeknownst to him, Umbreon had already returned with Glaceon. As usual, it ran over first and rubbed against Sato's trouser leg, snapping him out of his thoughts.
"Go eat. Today we have your favorite bitter berry-flavored dried silverfish." Sato squatted down, rubbed the clingy Umbreon, and smiled.
"Umbreon!"
Umbreon immediately nodded happily and followed the scent to its own food bowl.
Then, Umbreon gently picked up its food bowl in its mouth, carefully moved it beside Glaceon, and affectionately nudged the other Pokémon.
"Umbreon~" (You eat.)
Glaceon happily narrowed its eyes, turned to rub against Umbreon, then nudged the food bowl back.
"Glaceon~" (You eat too.) Sato touched his nose and turned away, no longer watching the two of them.
Having his own Pokémon show affection right in front of him was both sour and comforting.
"Have you seen Heatran and the others?"
Suddenly, Cynthia said to Sato with a slight frown.
Sato looked around and quickly noticed that three Pokémon, including Houndoom, were nowhere to be seen.
"Lucario, look for them!"
On the other side, decisive and efficient as ever, Cynthia had already ordered Lucario to use its Aura.
"Lucario!"
Three seconds later, Lucario opened its eyes and, without a word, ran headlong in one direction.
