Seeing that he couldn't get any answers by asking directly, Jonas decided to change his approach.
He frowned and asked, "Did anything happen during your ancestors' time?"
"Ancestors?"
Meng looked confused.
"I don't know which ancestor you're asking about, but if you mean the two most ancient ancestors, then I do know a few things."
"The two most ancient ancestors? What's special about them?" Farouk asked.
"Our two ancestors, the man was named Adan and the woman was named Hawa. If you ask what's special about them..."
"Legend says... they were Children of God!" Meng said slowly.
"Perhaps the reason we are so special is because we humans are the children of God!"
Children of God?
Natalie and the others looked surprised, then stared at him in shock.
Meng nodded, his face full of pride, and slowly explained, "In the ancient traditions of our tribe, the very beginning of the world was emptiness. In this emptiness, only the one God existed."
"After an unknown amount of time, God, who is all-powerful and knows everything, was not satisfied with the current state and created all things."
"After creating all things, God felt the world was a bit too quiet, so He created the progenitors of us humans, Adan and Hawa!"
As Meng explained, Natalie and the others listened in stunned silence.
Afterward, they looked at Meng as if he were a lunatic.
Natalie, speaking in a language Meng didn't understand, directly mocked him.
"He can even talk about God, and shamelessly claims to be a Child of God. He's truly mad!"
The others nodded in agreement.
Then, they thought about it again and found it all quite normal.
"Just some ignorant natives. Believing in God and even claiming a connection to God is something only they would do," Natalie said dismissively.
Compared to these ignorant and unenlightened natives, they were different. Their civilization had long surpassed the age of believing in gods!
Abundant scientific evidence proved that God simply did not exist in this world!
Everything was merely the ignorance and foolishness of ancient people!
Just like at this moment!
Eyes full of pity for a fool and a madman all turned towards Meng.
Even the thick-skinned Meng noticed something was wrong.
Those looks made him realize something.
These monsters didn't believe in God!
His face flushed slightly.
Just as they didn't understand him, he didn't understand them either.
Noticing Meng's expression, Natalie, wanting to correct the slave's thinking, pondered for a moment before asking indifferently, "Has your God ever appeared?"
Meng shook his head.
Seeing this, Natalie and the others became even more certain.
That God must be a fabrication!
However, while that God was likely false, they couldn't explain why the lifespan of these people was so abnormal.
"Since you haven't seen God, how do you know He truly exists?" Natalie asked disdainfully.
Meng's face turned red from the question, but being slow-witted, he couldn't come up with a proper explanation.
"Legend says God descended several Divine Miracles!"
After a long pause, that was all he could manage.
"Divine Miracles? Oh, and where did these Divine Miracles descend?" Natalie continued to ask disbelievingly.
"I'm not entirely sure, I only know it was near the Sacred Mountain. But I do know about the Sacred Mountain. I heard that there's also a Divine Tree that God descended on that mountain," Meng shook his head.
Sacred Mountain, Divine Tree?
Natalie and the others exchanged glances, not believing in any Sacred Mountain or Divine Tree.
They knew without explanation that a Sacred Mountain and a Divine Tree would be extraordinary things, but how could such things possibly exist? It was pure fabrication, just like God!
"Do you know where it is?"
Meng shook his head again.
This time, it made Natalie and the others even more disbelieving.
Jonas pondered for a moment and asked, "In which direction was the place you originally lived?"
Meng pointed to the north.
"Let's check out that direction," Jonas said.
"No way, you actually believe it? You believe in some Sacred Mountain, Divine Tree, and God?" Hawa asked in shock.
Jonas frowned, "Watch your wording, I'm leading this team!"
After speaking, he looked at the other companions and said, "I just don't want to miss any clues. These natives' lifespans are really abnormal!"
Hearing this, Hawa shut her mouth reluctantly.
Seeing that Jonas had made up his mind, the others thought it wouldn't hurt to take a look, so no one objected.
After warning Meng and the other natives not to be lazy and to mine seriously, they set off in the direction Meng had pointed.
Thanks to the hovering equipment, their flight speed was quite fast.
Flying at an altitude of a hundred meters, they occasionally passed by several native tribes below.
"These natives are truly resilient, you can see them everywhere," Farouk exclaimed.
"Isn't that perfect? We can catch them as slaves later, and our mining speed will be even faster," Hawa sneered.
Upon hearing this, everyone else nodded indifferently.
Time passed quickly...
Soon it was evening. They had been searching for several hours but hadn't found the so-called Sacred Mountain and Divine Tree.
During this time, they had even asked several other native tribes, but the results were not as they wished.
Just as they were about to give up, they suddenly noticed that the native tribes below were becoming increasingly prosperous, even developing city-states.
For a moment, surprise flashed in their eyes.
However, after searching for nearly another hour, with the sky about to turn dark, and still not finding anything, Hawa, who had been holding back, finally couldn't take it anymore.
She taunted, "I knew it! There's no Sacred Mountain or Divine Tree, it's all just the natives' wild imagination!"
"If there really were such a Sacred Mountain, wouldn't that mean that such a God might also exist?"
"This is a joke, right..."
Except for Jonas, everyone else nodded in agreement.
Just as Hawa was about to complain and mock a few more times, she suddenly froze, as if she had seen something incredible, and a look of confusion appeared in her eyes.
The others weren't much better off, all of them stunned to varying degrees.
In the distance, a majestic and towering mountain stood tall. And on the summit of the mountain was a very strange object.
The object was incredibly tall, appearing to be nearly a thousand meters high. Combined with the mountain's height, it seemed to pierce the clouds, almost reaching the heavens.
As they flew closer, they discovered it was an unimaginably colossal tree!
Hawa rubbed her eyes, looking at the tree in utter astonishment.
"How can there be such a big tree?" she exclaimed.
This defied all reason!
As they approached, they realized that the mountain was not only home to that massive tree; beside the tree that pierced the sky, there was another tall tree.
Although it appeared somewhat smaller overall, it was roughly two to three hundred meters tall at a glance!
Looking up, the entire mountaintop was covered in lush foliage, exuding an aura of mystery.
For a moment, Hawa and the others were plunged into shock.
