When it finally became a One-Finger Nukite, all of the Third Raikage's Chakra was concentrated onto a single finger. At that point, the One-Finger Nukite was at its most devastating, worthy of being called the true "strongest spear"!

As his battle with Yoru Machi dragged on, the Third Raikage slowly tucked away another finger from his original Two-Fingered Thrust, leaving only his index finger.
