Seeing the scene before them, the siblings who had previously been chased around by the Half-beastmen were utterly dumbfounded!

Honestly, the girl had been so dazzled by Yoru Machi's looks earlier that she had absentmindedly brought him back toward the village while completely smitten.

But when she saw the dozens of Half-beastmen ravaging the village, along with the hellish scene before her, she instantly snapped back to her senses and even regretted what she had done.

Half-beastmen were not unbeatable monsters, but Big Brother Yoru Machi was alone. How could he possibly deal with so many of them?

When she saw Yoru Machi walking alone toward the village, the girl had repeatedly considered rushing out to pull him back. But before she could act, the three Half-beastmen roaming outside the village had already charged at him.

What the girl had not expected, however, was that the enormous Half-beastmen—creatures capable of collapsing a house with one punch, whom even three to five ordinary adults could not defeat—would be slaughtered so easily before the handsome Yoru Machi!

And it was not just one Half-beastman that had been instantly killed, but three of them. Although the girl had stared without blinking the entire time, she was still completely bewildered as to how those three Half-beastmen had been cut down.

From her perspective, she had only seen the three Half-beastmen charge fiercely at Yoru Machi. The very next second, they had turned into chunks of flesh scattered across the ground.

Watching Yoru Machi kill the Half-beastmen so effortlessly, the girl hiding in the rear felt no fear at all. Her body even trembled with excitement.

These Half-beastmen had destroyed their home and murdered their parents. Seeing them die miserably beneath Yoru Machi's blade filled her with the pleasure of vengeance fulfilled.

But before the girl could celebrate for long, she saw dozens of Half-beastmen swarming toward Yoru Machi in a group. Just as she clasped her hands together and began worrying about him again, the scene from moments ago occurred.

"Alright, it's settled. You can come out now."

After a single Thunder Roar Cannon instantly annihilated every Half-beastman ravaging the village, Yoru Machi called out to the siblings hiding behind him.

At that moment, the siblings were staring at the enormous crater on the field, more than several dozen meters across. Lightning still flickered around its edges, and they clearly had yet to calm down.

"Big Brother Yoru Machi, you're not an S-rank adventurer, are you?"

The girl looked at the handsome white-haired man before her with an expression full of gratitude and admiration. Not only was he handsome, he was incredibly powerful as well.

There really was a Mag Town nearby, and it was quite prosperous. But the girl did not believe that someone as powerful as Yoru Machi could be an e-rank adventurer.

He probably said that because he did not want her to find him...

Although quite a few unexpected incidents had occurred, Yoru Machi returned to town once more a day later and arrived at the Adventurer's Guild looking travel-worn.

When she saw Yoru Machi return safely, Soya, the guild receptionist, let out a huge sigh of relief.

Honestly, she had never seen an e-rank adventurer skip so many ranks to accept an a-rank mission—and he had accepted two at once.

Only a little over a week had passed. Neither of the two A-rank missions was located nearby, and the round trip alone would probably take five or six days. With only one or two days left, there was clearly nowhere near enough time to Conquer the Underground Labyrinth and Slay the Poisonous Giant Lizard.

So naturally, when she saw Yoru Machi return now, Soya assumed that he had failed the missions, or perhaps only made some progress and had come back to restock or give up.

Yoru Machi was a new adventurer, yet he possessed that kind of strength. Since his first outing to complete a commission had ended in failure, Soya worried that this highly promising young man would become discouraged forever. So she took the initiative to comfort him.

Yet upon hearing Soya's words, Yoru Machi looked even more confused. He looked at her in puzzlement and said, "Miss Soya, what are you talking about? I never said my mission failed. I came to complete the registration procedures and collect the mission rewards."

"Yes, yes, not many people can complete A-rank missions in the first place. We... What! You said you completed the missions and came to handle the registration procedures?

Which of the two A-rank missions did you complete—'Conquer the Underground Labyrinth' or 'Slay the Poisonous Giant Lizard'?"

Hearing what Yoru Machi said, Soya was briefly stunned before looking at him with utter shock and asking him.

"Of course I completed both. Otherwise, why would I have accepted both missions when I set out?
