The Flower Mage pointed at the monkey-like Demon Beasts in the distance.
"I understand! Mash! Anna! Let's go!" Ritsuka said, looking at the two of them.
Though she was supposed to be a Servant summoned by the Counter Force, Anna didn't resist the boy's command. After all, through their time together, she had come to acknowledge him and had formed a contract.
'You should go and spar with them too.' Fu Hua didn't intend to let this opportunity for Amber to train slip by.
With her master's words, Amber naturally had no reason to refuse. With a single step, she had already surpassed the three from Chaldea, arriving before a Demon Beast. A single punch sent the creature flying, its internal organs and bones shattered, yet its exterior showed little abnormality.
Seeing this, Fu Hua nodded slightly.
To cultivate the complete Tai Xu Sword Qi, the Xuanyuan Sword was an indispensable component. While training in Sword Form and Sword Soul didn't necessarily require the Xuanyuan Sword, for Sword Intent... no weapon more suitable than the Xuanyuan Sword had yet been found.
But Amber's situation was somewhat different.
Her current body was in its prime, with the Five Aggregates fully mastered. Relying on her own body and the guidance of Feathered Dust, without the Xuanyuan Sword, Amber had grasped the Tai Xu Sword Intent in just about ten days.
Sword Intent was not a martial art but a transformation born from the resonance between the Xuanyuan Sword, True Qi, and oneself. Once Sword Intent was mastered, one could materialize True Qi into tangible forms, such as flames or flowing water. The specifics depended on the user themselves.
What was now attacking the Demon Beasts was Amber's own power, not the strength of Fu Hua's body.
Amber's Sword Intent manifested as a kind of vibration. Like this, upon contact with the body, it could directly attack the internal organs, far more fragile than muscle, though due to the vast disparity in strength, it also shattered the bones along the way.
Though it was undeniable that the body determined consciousness, this child... perhaps had more talent than I imagined.
As Fu Hua pondered, Amber had already cleared all the Demon Beasts in sight, and the group had regrouped.
"Incredible! A speed completely impossible to track, and those exquisite techniques!" Ushiwakamaru, who had jumped down from the city wall, looked at Amber with sparkling eyes. "Truly worthy of the legendary immortal of Shenzhou!"
"You flatter me. I've just lived long enough," Amber said modestly.
Fu Hua had no objection to this. Not to mention Kevin and the other Flame-Chasers, even considering her most talented disciple, Cheng Lingshuang—if Lingshuang had taken her place, Fu Hua couldn't imagine what achievements she might have attained.
With five thousand years of Divine Hymn continuously improving Honkai Energy compatibility and control, combined with her martial talent and temperament...
'She is not "emptiness," but "fullness." She has no demands of you, me, or this world.'
Compared to Su, Lingshuang might be more like a living true Buddha. The side effects of the Sword Heart simply didn't exist for Lingshuang. Such a state of mind was unprecedented and unparalleled, even the Herrscher of Reason called her a "true monster."
Looking at Amber, who reminded her of her former disciple, Fu Hua sighed.
She was not one to dwell on memories, but spending all her days within Feathered Dust did leave her feeling somewhat stifled.
She would drill Amber again tonight. Though yesterday's actions had multiple reasons, seeing her beloved disciple improve so rapidly overnight was a comforting thing.
In reality, the group had already settled on a plan. The Demon Beasts had been attacking in an organized manner recently, suggesting a new commander had appeared. But the evacuation and rescue of Nippur City could not be delayed. Thus, Leonidas arranged for Ushiwakamaru and Benkei to head east toward Nippur City, where the Demon Beasts would surely launch an attack.
Seizing this opportunity, the Chaldea group would enter Nippur from the west, open the city gates, and temporarily bring the citizens of Nippur back to the North Wall front line.
As for Amber, she remained in a semi-free state.
After all, Amber was not Gilgamesh's subordinate but an ally. Leonidas naturally couldn't give her orders, so he could only ask, hoping she would protect the civilians when the time came.
There was no need for him to ask. Amber wasn't some misanthrope; she would certainly prioritize the lives of the people.
Time quickly arrived the next day. Whether out of a change of heart or because there was a mission today, Fu Hua didn't beat her as harshly as the day before, stopping after only half the night. Then, she held a Q&A session on cultivation.
Fu Hua was a strict teacher, and Amber knew this well. She also understood the concern hidden beneath Fu Hua's severity. So even when she wanted to shrink back, she gritted her teeth and persevered.
A mutual emotional investment always made interactions smoother. Moreover, since Fu Hua could hear Amber's thoughts, Amber's unwavering trust was all the more heartwarming.
After another day of training, Amber and Chaldea arrived inside Nippur City.
However, this plan encountered obstacles from the very start.
It wasn't just that the enemy commander seemed to have seen through their plan, leaving a certain number of Demon Beasts behind. What was truly alarming was that these Demon Beasts were inside the city, not outside.
This meant the Demon Beasts had already entered Nippur.
After quickly clearing the Demon Beasts, Amber, who had been silent all along, finally spoke: "This city... no longer has any survivors."
I'm a bit conflicted now. I don't want to pad, but I'm afraid if I don't write the original content, everyone won't understand, which is frustrating. I'm stuck here.
The main issue is that I chose the wrong Demon Beast Front. FGO's story is quite complete, and I've always been afraid of gilding the lily, with little room to change things.
But writing up to this point, I've also gotten through the hardest part to write.

Chapter 22: Amber: Can't Compare to Fu Hua at All
"No survivors... huh?" Ritsuka looked at the ground in disbelief.
Bloodstains were everywhere at the gate, even stretching far into the distance.
Amber felt nauseous. Though she had been honing her skills by killing Demon Beasts before, the level of stimulation was completely different from what she saw now. If before it was just a mess of ketchup, this scene was a living hell.
Especially with her more acute senses, the stench of blood flooding her nostrils made her frown, finding it hard to bear.
Fu Hua hadn't expected an evacuation mission to turn into this. She was indeed a strict teacher, and she did want Amber to experience some shocks and setbacks to temper her heart, but that didn't mean she wanted to force growth prematurely.
This kind of scene was still too early for Amber.
"Nippur should have had over two hundred residents... right..." the soldier following Amber and the others said, his voice trembling.
"In any case, let's follow the blood trail first..."
Merlin said in a heavy tone. He felt they should investigate the situation, to find out the reason for the residents' disappearance.
The soldiers had no better option, or rather, they clung to a sliver of hope—what if this gray-haired woman was wrong? What if there were still survivors hiding in the houses?
Following the trail of blood, the Chaldea group also arrived at the square.
"You are..." A figure with long green hair stood in the center of the square, surrounded by drag marks, and on those marks, naturally, was human blood.
"Welcome to Nippur, everyone on the beast war front." Gog saw the group, a malicious smile on his face, but when he spotted Fu Hua, his smile stiffened for a moment before quickly returning to normal.
"Where have the residents gone!?" Ritsuka shouted at Gog.
"You can see for yourselves... Ah, right, you're still in the dark."
Gog sneered: "Humans have extremely high value as nourishment for the birth of beasts. Saying it like that should make it clear to you."
"You bastard!" The soldiers' angry voices rang out, and then they formed ranks and charged at Gog.
"Old humans are nothing but reckless and weak wretches." Watching the soldiers charge in fury, Gog didn't spare them a second thought. These obsolete products had no value in living, not worth his attention. His gaze remained fixed on the Chaldea side the entire time: "Whatever, Mother's awakening still has a while to go. Playing with you all a bit won't hurt."
As his words fell, several ape monsters that had been seen earlier in the city, capable of scaling walls, burst out from behind the city's buildings and pounced on the soldiers nearing Gog.
Fast—far faster than the ones they'd dealt with in the city before!
But Amber was even faster, arriving beside the soldiers in the blink of an eye. Facing the beasts about to kill the soldiers, she pulled back one hand as if grasping something, halting the beasts' movements, then dragged them toward herself.
With Amber's punch, an invisible shockwave detonated inside one beast, then transmitted to the second and third that touched it.
In a single blink, four beasts lost their lives, crashing heavily into distant buildings.
"Hmph, you certainly have quite a few tricks." Gog's wary gaze settled on Amber. "But after all these times, I can already see through your movements. This time, I'll collect the price for your last offense, guardian of old humanity."
As he spoke, several more monsters appeared, surrounding the Chaldea group. The ground suddenly split open, and a massive lion beast burst forth from below.
"Careful! These beasts are different from the last ones—even among Tiamat's children, they're top-tier! Don't let your guard down!" Merlin warned, his eyes never leaving Gog's movements.
Seeing through my movements isn't because you've watched me a lot—it's because I've gotten weaker, alright.
Amber scoffed inwardly at Gog's words.
The first two times were Navigator taking over; now she was fighting herself. There was bound to be a gap.
Gog had no intention of waiting for Amber's reply. In an instant, a flood of chains shot out from the ground.
Though he claimed he could see through her movements, there was no reason not to restrict her mobility. Too bad she had no divinity.
Not just the ground—chains also extended from Gog's sleeves, all aimed at Amber.
Against those beasts, Amber's own half-baked beginner sword intent worked fine, but against someone of Gog's level, it was pointless.
Ink-black flames ignited around Amber in an instant, like a scroll of ink painting, yet carrying astonishing heat, melting the chains aimed at her before they could even touch.
Gog's expression immediately soured. The last time they met, this woman hadn't used that move.
Still, he didn't think it was unwinnable. Those were Chains of Heaven, but even Chains of Heaven had differences in quality. The true Chains of Heaven were himself; the ones he'd shot at Amber were merely magical constructs formed from his mana through an innate skill, carrying only a concept of the Chains of Heaven.
But if that level wasn't enough, he just needed to increase his mana output to create higher-quality constructs.
With that thought, the ground suddenly collapsed into a sizable basin, the entire square sinking. Yet absorbing all that mana, Gog only created three chains, shooting at Amber from different directions.
But that left his front wide open.
Amber didn't hesitate for a moment, darting forward and throwing a punch straight at Gog's face.
Gog remained unfazed, his entire arm transforming into a blue blade under high-density mana, meeting Amber's fist head-on.
"I told you, I've already seen through your movements!" Gog finally broke into a smile, and the mana-generated chains caught up to Amber's figure, stabbing toward her body.
Bang!
The blade that could cut through lapis lazuli like tofu met Amber's fist like a plastic knife hitting concrete—even worse than that.
At least a plastic knife would leave a scratch mark, but Amber's fist didn't even have a white mark.
That was only natural. Though it wasn't visible, Amber was actually wearing gloves—Hundred Birds Ask Heaven—just concealed.
The chains behind her were inches away. Amber kicked Gog flying, the immense force making him cough up another mouthful of blood. Then her hands traced arcs like silk ribbons, redirecting the three straight-flying chains in another direction.
Seizing the gap, Amber chased after Gog again.
"Damn it!" Gog felt his face had been thoroughly lost. He swung the blue blade down fiercely.
With a body forged by the gods, even a simple swing was enough to handle most enemies. But before Amber, this blade-wielding motion suddenly seemed like a child full of openings. After two nights of Fu Hua's beatings, she almost suspected he was deliberately leaving himself exposed.
Easily dodging the blue blade, Amber punched Gog flying again, her expression turning odd.
No wonder he kept spamming projectiles—turns out his close combat is trash.
With good intentions and a bit of showing off, Amber spoke:
"Form is no form, intent is no intent. Go practice some more."
"Pfft!" Gog spat out another mouthful of blood.

Chapter 23: Beast Goddess
"It seems I underestimated you..."
Gog wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth, looking back at Amber with a somewhat twisted expression.
"Right now, no matter how many times you try, the result will be the same." Amber said. "It's not about emotion, not about luck—I'm simply stronger than you."
"You talk big...!" Gogh's expression grew even uglier. Even now, he still didn't believe he could lose. As a divine clay puppet, as long as he had sufficient mana supply, he possessed limitless stamina and the immortality to instantly regenerate as long as he wasn't one-shotted.
And no matter how powerful his opponent was, could she really outlast him in a war of attrition—him, who held the Holy Grail, effectively granting infinite endurance and tirelessness?
Thinking this, Gogh guided his chains once more. This time, he didn't aim for a direct attack. Having failed several times already, he realized this approach was largely useless against her. Instead of hoping the chains would land, it was better to use them to disrupt her movements.
Then, he abruptly retreated.
Though he was extremely reluctant to admit it, he had to acknowledge that her close-combat ability far surpassed his. If he kept up a melee struggle, even if he could eventually wear her down, the process would be far from pleasant for him.
The best course was to take to the sky and fight a guerrilla battle.
But that came with another problem: as a clay puppet, he could only continuously regenerate when both feet were planted on the ground. If he got into a chase, one misstep could spell disaster.
So, without any dignity left, he had to fight while retreating.
Still, it didn't matter. Since he had already sealed her Space Movement, mere speed alone couldn't—!?
Gogh, rapidly pulling back, suddenly hit a noticeable hitch. Then, in disbelief, he watched the scenery that should have been rushing forward fly past him in reverse.
"This move works on me too!?" Staring at Amber's hand, formed into a grasping gesture, how could Gogh not recognize it? This was the very technique that had just saved the old humans from the Demon Beasts' attacks. But as everyone knew, due to differences in mystery levels, the same move could have vastly different effects on different targets.
This wasn't just "useful"—it was devastatingly effective. Against him, a divine weapon, it worked exactly the same as it did on those low-ranked Demon Beasts.
'This distance... Damn it—!' Watching helplessly as the gap between him and Amber shrank to nothing, cold sweat nearly dripped from Gogh's brow.
Unlike Gogh's drenched panic, Amber simply found this punching bag quite convenient.
"Inch Punch. Heaven Splitting."
Boom!
Ink-black flames violently erupted from Amber's fist. The searing heat was so intense that even Chaldea's members, fighting not far away, felt the scorching wave wash over them. The massive shockwave further shattered the already cracked plaza, and Gogh felt as though his internal organs were about to shift—though he didn't actually have any internal organs to begin with.
Worse still, his body, which should have repaired itself instantly, encountered an inexplicable obstruction. A strange force was interfering with his healing!
Sent flying back hundreds of meters, crashing through over a dozen buildings, Gogh had completely lost any desire to continue fighting.
