Background / History

Amber lost her home when her original world was destroyed. The Golden Finger system revived her, transported her to the Fate/Grand Order world, and supplied her first draw: Fu Hua’s Character Card, Feathered Dust, Hundred Birds Ask Heaven, and other equipment. Initially frightened and indecisive, she relied on the Navigator to act through Fu Hua’s body. 1

As the self-styled Crimson Kite Immortal, Amber intervened against Gogh and aided Chaldea in Mesopotamia. She formally agreed to provide temporary assistance whenever Chaldea faced danger, becoming an ally whom Ritsuka and Mash regarded as dependable. 2 5

While studying Feathered Dust, Amber discovered the real Fu Hua’s weakened consciousness within it. Amber permitted Fu Hua to inspect her memories and explain her circumstances; afterward, Fu Hua became her guide in Tai Xu Sword Qi and eventually acknowledged her as a disciple. 5 18

During the battle against Tiamat, Amber was swallowed by the Tide of Chaos and nearly assimilated into a Lahmu. Fu Hua extracted the corruption from Amber’s consciousness with the Sword God, but the tainted consciousness later became Black Amber. Amber remained unconscious for 5,000 years before awakening in a new world. 28 29 30

In the Jujutsu Kaisen world, Amber used Shier Fulei’s Character Card and chose to investigate the deaths linked to her assigned orphanage background. Though Shier’s body was far weaker than Fu Hua’s, Amber defeated a Special Grade Cursed Spirit, met Maki Zenin, and began learning jujutsu under Gojo Satoru. 31 32 34

After spending more than a century in that world, Amber perfected Tai Xu Sword Qi and became a living legend to the public. She later operated as Yulande, a Schicksal Valkyrie, and used her strength and reputation to negotiate with groups such as Ratatoskr and DEM. 62 63

Following the acquisition of Mio Takamiya’s power, Amber chose to join Black Amber’s world rather than keep relying on Fu Hua’s protection. There, she enrolled at Moonlit Forest Academy and adopted Kiana’s Character Card for school life and public appearances. 104 105 108

Personality

Amber begins her journey panicked, socially awkward, and prone to relying on systems or stronger companions. Taking on Fu Hua’s identity gives her enough distance from her real self to speak and act with confidence, though she initially treats the Crimson Kite Immortal persona as an idealized role to imitate. 1 7

She is notably kind-hearted and protective. Amber helps Chaldea without demanding compensation, gives Ishtar Star Stones to prevent her from taking human property, and insists on investigating the orphanage deaths despite never personally knowing the victims. 5 6 31

Amber is uncomfortable with abusing powers such as Feathered Dust; after glimpsing Quetzalcoatl’s thoughts, she immediately apologizes and calls the act improper. 17 Her desire to protect others can make her anxious or indecisive under pressure, but Fu Hua’s mentorship and Black Amber’s challenges gradually push her toward independent judgment. 19 27 104
