Mewtwo's Invitational Tournament and the Test (Part 1)

Hoopa Confined wiped away its tears as it looked at the invitation in its hands.

The black invitation was shaped like an envelope, with gold trim set along its edges. It looked exquisitely made.

Hoopa Confined turned it over in confusion. There were no words on the invitation, yet a voice rose from deep within, telling it that the envelope in its hands was a Competition Invitation.

"Can Lord Hoopa... enter a competition again?"

Hoopa Confined muttered to itself, then suddenly broke into a smile through its tears.

"Hehehehe... Lord Hoopa is just too amazing!"

Hoopa Confined made to leave the Other-Dimensional Space and return to reality, planning to show off the Competition Invitation to Mark, Jirachi, Mew, and the other Pokémon.

But then it seemed to remember something and stopped.

The tears on its face had not yet dried. Recalling how it had sobbed uncontrollably not long ago, Hoopa Confined felt terribly embarrassed. In the end, it decided to wait, compose itself, and return later.

Clear Stream Gym, Mark's office.

A small ring slowly appeared in the air. It resembled a ring worn on a finger, but if one looked closely, they would see Hoopa's eye on the other side.

Through the ring, Hoopa Confined observed Mark and the many Pokémon in the room.

In its field of vision, Jirachi, Mew, Victini, and the other Pokémon had gathered around Mark. Judging from their expressions, they had apparently yet to find a way to enter the competition.

"Mark, Mark, Jirachi has it! Aren't there lots of Parallel Time-Spaces?" Jirachi said excitedly. "Since we can't enter the World Competition in this Parallel Time-Space, why don't we just go to another one?"

"Mew~ Mew~!"

"Raaah~!"

"Hiss hiss!"

Jirachi's suggestion received the approval of many Pokémon.

However, not every Pokémon agreed.
