Arc 1Caterpie’s Return to the Group

Mark and Caterpie trained through the Trainer System, strengthened their bond, and faced Caterpie’s former group. After Mark used a Point to develop new Tackle techniques, Caterpie defeated the Caterpie Leader and Mark began investigating a strange blue fruit.

  • Mark awakened in the Pokémon world with Caterpie as his Spirit and discovered the Trainer System’s panels and Point allocation.
  • Mark spent a Point enhancing Caterpie’s Tackle, and their shared training experience perfected the move and raised Mark’s Trainer skills.

Arc 2Caterpie King

Mark trained Caterpie and the Caterpie Group while learning more about their abilities and the Wimpod egg. When a territorial attack drove the Caterpie from their home, Caterpie led them in defeating the Arbok Leader and reclaiming their territory.

  • Mark fed Caterpie and the Caterpie Leader Oran and Wiki Berries, trained them in combat and mathematics, and advanced Wimpod’s hatching progress.
  • Mark returned to Clear Stream Village with more than a hundred Caterpie, and Old Man Qian offered to buy them and helped plan for Caterpie’s future training.
  • After Caterpie sensed danger, Mark returned with it to Caterpie Territory and learned that Ekans had attacked and driven the Caterpie from their home.
  • Mark and Caterpie found Butterfree fighting a giant Arbok, and Caterpie chose to fight while Mark watched and supported it.

Arc 3The Thunderclap Gang Assault

Mark strengthened Caterpie and expanded Clear Stream Forest while preparing to study at Hack Pokemon Academy. The Thunderclap Gang attacked Clear Stream Village, and Mark set off to find Sun Ting as Old Man Qian stayed behind to fight.

  • Mark and Caterpie gained powers from Clear Stream Forest, and Mark used Clear Stream Power to heal Butterfree's wings.
  • Mark trained Caterpie's Run Away for years in the Dream World, where it developed Mind's Eye, while Butterfree returned and chose to stay with Caterpie.
  • Mark brought over two hundred Caterpie to the village, refused Niu Xin's offer to buy them, and explained how the forest's blessing could benefit the breeding base.
  • Old Man Qian showed Mark his underground room, gave him a Teleport Move Tutor, and agreed to seek Doctor Locke's help with Mark's plan to commute to Hack Pokemon Academy.

Mark defeated Lei Meng, took in Butterfree and Charjabug, and turned Charjabug into a Vikavolt while arranging for Lei Meng to start over under a new identity. After years of training in the Dream World, Mark returned with improved talents, but a mysterious Ghost-type trainer arrived at Old Man Qian’s courtyard and attacked Machamp.

  • Mark rescued Sun Ting, defeated Lei Meng and Electivire, and trained Caterpie against Electivire while recovering the stolen Pokémon and equipment.
  • Mark captured Charjabug and Lei Meng, then spent seven days battling Electivire and learned from Lei Meng about Resonance, Veteran-level Energy Cycles, and Genetic Limits.
  • Butterfree joined Mark’s team, and Charjabug absorbed electricity from the Magnet Pokémon and shattered Thunder Stones before evolving into Vikavolt Aircraft.
