At that moment, beside the research vessel, an explorer in an exoskeleton stood behind a tripod-mounted sampler.
The sampler's multifunction camera was aimed at the distant "World Tower," connected to the research vessel beside it by a data cable as thick as a python.
Around the busy explorer, five more exoskeleton-clad explorers stood guard, fully armed.
This was, after all, a war zone.
Even though the war was nearing its end, there was no guarantee that something unexpected would not suddenly emerge.
They had to remain wary of every potential threat.
Fortunately, nothing went wrong while they gathered their data.
After Tyr of the Southern Legion played his final card, both he and the "aberrant life-form" that had suddenly appeared atop the "World Tower" were dealt with by The Alliance.
As the victory announcement broadcast rang out, their data collection entered its final phase.
Seeing that the work was nearly finished, one explorer took his hand off his assault rifle, pulled out a pair of binoculars, and glanced toward the "World Tower."
Looking at the dark-red wreckage that had lost all signs of life, he could not help clicking his tongue and muttering under his breath.
"What a twisted thing..."

The explorers beside him wore equally indescribable expressions as they whispered quietly over the comms channel.
"That was
