After a heated debate, the role of prisoner ultimately fell to Medical Miracle.
The reason was not that he had the loudest voice, but mainly because a prisoner corps commander would have looked too fake.
Besides, Taran himself had already reached level forty-something. By NPC standards, he was a "fifth-stage" Awakened. Even if panel attributes were only a reference, capturing an expert of that level would still be somewhat difficult.
The Desert Eagle was the same, and so was his good brother, the Laughing Craftsman.
By comparison, Medical Miracle's value for the cost stood out.
Compared with the other newcomers, his mind was fairly normal, and his combat power was decent enough.
Especially the part about being normal.
Finding a normal person among players was harder than finding a skilled fighter.
Watching Medical Miracle grin from ear to ear, the Desert Eagle cursed with a pained expression.
"Fuck! This is the first time I've heard of a quest having a level cap."
"Isn't that normal? You're level forty and still want to do a fucking level-ten quest." Medical Miracle chuckled, then cupped his fists toward the brothers. "Take care, brothers!"
Taran Raiders could not be bothered to look at his smug face and waved him away twice.
"Get lost."
And just like that, the prisoner was chosen.
The Desert Corps took away Malik, the real captain of the "Desert Scorpions," while leaving the player Medical Miracle with Zhuang Lan of the Watchers.
Next, Taran Raiders would head to the Ravanka Industrial Zone. While returning with the prisoner and the spoils, they would also transmit the data copied from the hard drive to the esteemed Administrator through the cables laid by The Alliance.
If nothing unexpected happened, their next mission would probably be to explore the ruins of Vault 68.
