Oasis No. 3.
The atmosphere inside the forward command post was grim.
A group of officers stood around a strategic map covered in markings, silent, their faces uniformly grave.
A week ago, under General Griffin's command and with the desperate cover provided by the Falcon Kingdom's First and Second Ten-Thousand-Man Corps, they had successfully withdrawn to Oasis No. 3 before The Alliance's armored forces could cut off their retreat.
Though their reorganized forces held an absolute numerical advantage, the situation before them remained far from optimistic.
General Griffin stared at the map with a solemn expression for a long while before suddenly speaking.
"How much longer until reinforcements from west of the Great Desert arrive?"
Hearing General Griffin's voice, the adjutant standing nearby hurriedly replied.
"At least forty-five days!"
Forty-five days...
Griffin frowned. The officers beside him exchanged looks, their faces reflecting the same gravity, but none spoke.
Because none of them could think of a good solution.
The more than one hundred thousand clone troops currently deployed at the front were reinforcements that had departed from west of the Great Desert two months earlier. The moment they arrived in the Falcon Kingdom, they had been pulled to the front before they could even be reorganized.
In truth, this had not been Griffin's original plan. It was a desperate measure intended to deter The Alliance and prevent the coalition forces from continuing their offensive.
According to his original plan, these ten ten-thousand-man corps had been intended to rotate out the Falcon Kingdom's auxiliary army.
After taking the Lion Kingdom, the Falcon Kingdom's auxiliary army would swiftly shift from offense to defense, resting in place while maintaining order in the occupied territories. The clone corps would take over the offensive.
This would not only consolidate the Legion's gains in Sunset Province,
