"Damn it, we got played!"
After losing more than twenty subordinates in a string of accidents, Favri finally came to his senses. The Alliance had probably set him up!
This abandoned district really had been the Torch Church's position, but aside from corpses that had not been cleared away and shattered bricks and tiles, there was nothing here at all!
No wonder...
Those greedy Blue Gophers had so readily spat out the meat already in their mouths!
This was no meat at all. It was clearly a cold, hard bone!
The more Favri thought about it, the angrier he became. He called off the minesweeping and search teams working through the ruins, then personally headed toward the southern side of the abandoned district.
It was a relatively open area. Airdropped supplies were piled in the middle of the clearing, while Alliance soldiers in exoskeletons bustled about nearby, carrying out construction work.
They piled construction debris along the edges of the clearing and leveled the uneven ground, apparently intending to build a runway for aircraft to take off and land temporarily.
Beyond that, rows of identically styled tents could be seen in the distance, along with survivors wrapped in blankets.
It looked like those people intended to build a semi-permanent military base on the former site of Haibei City and stay for the long term.
Favri did not care how long they planned to stay. He only wanted to know what was going on with the ruins in his hands, so he strode over in a fury and grabbed a patrolling soldier, roaring at him.
"Where is your commander?! Tell him to come out and see me!"
The patrolling player stopped and glanced at the loud, big-nosed man.
"Who are you?"
Favri narrowed his eyes slightly and said, restraining his temper.
