"Brothers! For the Administrator! For the Alliance! Charge!!!"
"Awooo!!!"
The vast, boundless sea churned with waves, while the sky above the blue waters was equally filled with incomprehensible shouting.
Amid the roar of propellers and Brother Mosquito's ear-splitting bellowing on the comms channel, wave after wave of aircraft swooped toward Evernight Port like a swarm of locusts.
The entire attack formation was divided into two parts.
The first formation, cruising above the clouds, mainly consisted of next-generation fighters equipped with plasma engines.
It was centered around L-10 Thunder fighters, with P-2 Lightning fighters secondary. Their main mission was to suppress enemy airfields and compete with today's Saber jet fighters for air superiority.
As for the second formation, it was primarily made up of Goblin Corps W-4 fighters, tasked with ground support!
The W-4 was the latest propeller-driven fighter designed by Goblin Technology based on the fighting in Borneo Province.
Its appearance closely resembled the La-11. It was equipped with two 20mm aircraft cannons, while its wings could carry guided or unguided rockets and aerial bombs depending on the mission.
Although the aircraft had the retro styling of a classic model, its power components, weapons systems, and onboard radar had all been redesigned by Goblin Technology engineers. Its power source was even the latest metal-hydrogen fuel cell produced by the Lister Group.
In truth, although a series of high-tech improvements had raised its combat efficiency by a level, its cost-effectiveness was already far inferior to that of the "Flying Stick," the W-2.
And that was not all.
Because of its higher speed and maneuverability, the W-4's requirements for pilots had risen accordingly.
For reasons like these, this model would probably become the last propeller aircraft designed and mass-produced by Goblin Technology.
After this would come the era of plasma engines!
