"Vibranium, you could say it's the strongest metal on Earth."
Chen Mu looked at Tony and continued, "I remember Captain America's shield was made with this material, which is why it's so incredibly durable."
Vibranium, also known as sound-absorbing steel, comes from meteorites and is a specialty resource of the African nation of Wakanda. It's one of the hardest materials in the Marvel Universe.
Vibranium is incredibly strong. Its unique molecular structure makes it nearly indestructible because its molecules are relatively stationary, allowing it to absorb heat, energy, and kinetic energy with almost no transfer.
Therefore, armor made with it as a material is practically indestructible. Most weapons on Earth can't damage it.
"I remember now, it's this stuff!"
Tony's brow furrowed. Hearing it put that way, he suddenly recalled that he did know about this metal.
But he also knew how precious it was.
"Captain America's shield, the vibranium content in it, I think it wasn't even as much as a fistful. They practically used up all of America's vibranium to make it. I never expected you to be able to directly use vibranium to create an entire suit of armor!"
This was something Tony couldn't have imagined.
Vibranium wasn't completely unavailable on the market. Tony even knew it existed in the black market. While expensive, the quantity was incredibly small.
Tony didn't care too much about the price. If it were just about cost, Tony would have bought thousands of tons already. After all, Tony wasn't interested in money at all.
The real issue was that vibranium was just too rare. Even if you collected all the vibranium on the market, you might only be able to make one more shield. For an Iron Armor, it was completely useless!
"I just didn't expect you to gather enough vibranium for a whole suit of armor? You've really impressed me!"
Tony clicked his tongue in amazement, expressing his disbelief. "China's five-thousand-year heritage is truly unimaginable!"
At this moment, Tony completely believed that Chen Mu had gathered his vibranium with China's help.
After all, Tony now knew that Chen Mu was already providing armor for China's military.
As the original "Iron Man," Tony naturally understood better than anyone how powerful his own suit was.
"China has a 5,000-year history, while America only has a little over 200 years of history."
At this point, Chen Mu couldn't hide his pride.
"Speaking of which, Chen Mu, did you really give the Iron Armor to the Chinese military?"
Ignoring Chen Mu's pride, Tony asked him with a frown, his eyes full of worry.
"You should know how powerful the Iron Armor is. If it falls into the hands of the military, it would be an unimaginable threat to the entire world."
"Heh, a threat?"
Chen Mu sneered and continued, "Tony, that's the difference between you and me. I believe that powerful Iron Armor can only fulfill its purpose when it's in the hands of the right people."
"Powerful armor will ultimately be used to protect this world!"
"Also, my armor isn't your 'Iron Armor.' It's called the Qilin Armor."
Don't underestimate the importance of a name. If the Qilin Armor continued to be called Iron Armor, wouldn't that be tantamount to admitting that the Qilin Armor was a copy of Iron Man's armor?
This was not what Chen Mu wanted.
"Okay, Qilin Armor."
Tony waved his hand, not particularly caring what the armor was called.
Despite his arrogance, Tony was also a man of great vision. Although he might not admit it verbally, he had already acknowledged in his heart that Chen Mu's armor was more advanced than his.
So, he didn't think Chen Mu would copy his Iron Armor.
At this moment, Tony Stark secretly admitted that Chen Mu was a worthy opponent.
Tony firmly believed that even if his armor wasn't as good as Chen Mu's now, he would develop even more advanced armor in the future!
Of course, now wasn't the time to dwell on that. What he cared about more was something else.
"But if the military gets powerful armor, it will pose a very significant threat!"
Tony was still bothered by Chen Mu giving the armor to the military.
"That depends on who you're talking about."
Chen Mu said noncommittally with a light smile. "The military you know is that of your America. Under the guise of maintaining world peace, they stir up wars all over the world. In your eyes, the military is a sharp sword for killing. But..."
"The Chinese military is completely different from your military!"
Chen Mu was very confident about this point.
"The People's Liberation Army has another name in China: the People's Own Army."
Chen Mu looked at Tony calmly and said, "The People's Liberation Army's guns are never aimed at the people. They are the strong backing of the Chinese people. When disasters strike, the Chinese people see hope when they see the People's Liberation Army. In the face of disaster, the People's Liberation Army always stands at the forefront for the people!"
"So, what's wrong with me giving the armor to the People's Liberation Army? Not only that, but every soldier in the People's Liberation Army should have their own armor, so they can better protect the people!"
In fact, after becoming Iron Man, Tony had already "awakened." The weapons he had manufactured in the past had caused too much harm to innocent people, which was why he decided to shut down his weapons manufacturing division and shift his focus from a military technology giant to a civilian technology giant.
So, when he heard Chen Mu's words, Tony couldn't refute them at first.
"The major flood in '98, and the Wenchuan earthquake this year – in which disaster did the People's Liberation Army not stand in front of the people, putting the people first?"
This year is '08. Even in the Marvel Universe, the Wenchuan earthquake did occur, and it happened not long ago. So, Tony naturally knew what Chen Mu was talking about.
Therefore, he had no reason to refute Chen Mu's statement that the People's Liberation Army protected the people.
"There's another interesting detail," Chen Mu said with a smile. "No matter the disaster relief operation, the People's Liberation Army never carries firearms or ammunition. They only bring various tools. The PLA poses no threat to any civilians. Instead, all refugees feel a genuine sense of security upon seeing the PLA."
"Therefore, equipping the PLA with armor will only help them protect civilians more effectively."
"Compared to the PLA's disaster relief efforts, your country's military forces carry weapons when facing disasters, don't they? You're not there for disaster relief, but to suppress the disaster victims, aren't you?"
Hearing this, Tony was speechless for a long time.
It was damn true!
A month ago, Chen Mu was timid and subservient in front of Tony, not even speaking loudly, appearing quite humble.
But now, a month later, Chen Mu had managed to leave Tony speechless. Truly, after three days apart, one should look at someone with new eyes.
