Asgard's Founding Ceremony

The next day, after a brief farewell, Chen Mu and Xu Jia met up with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs personnel and headed straight to Asgard.

"Oh, my dear friends, I'm delighted that you could come to the Asgard Republic."

Upon arriving and stepping out of the Bifrost, they received a very enthusiastic welcome from Thor.

Thor was dressed to the nines, wearing a crisp suit. Together with Loki, he had come to the Bifrost to welcome the delegation from China.

"Chen Mu, you actually came too. I haven't been able to reach you before."

The moment he saw Chen Mu, Thor's eyes lit up. He eagerly came over, threw an arm around Chen Mu's shoulders, and said happily:

"It's been years since you last came to Asgard. Ever since we established diplomatic relations with China, Asgard, a society that had gone thousands upon thousands of years without development, has now made tremendous progress."

Most visibly, every Asgardian wore a confident smile and the calm bearing of someone who was master of their own affairs.

The Asgardians had smiled before, but those smiles had looked terribly false. There had been no sign of true joy deep in their hearts. But things were different now. This was an age where everyone was equal. No one could lord themselves above others anymore. Were kings and nobles born to rule? No one could ride roughshod over them again.

The momentum of reform was like a prairie fire, impossible to contain once ignited.

In the past, Asgardians had been divided into ranks and classes. If they encountered royalty or nobility, they had to bow obediently. But now, all such etiquette had been abolished. The Asgard Republic had entered an era where the people were the masters.

That said, there was seriously something wrong with
