In a country where profit came first, and whose population consisted of immigrants from different races, could something like "patriotism" even exist?

Perhaps it could, but only if it was founded on profit above all else.

In America, its citizens were patriotic only because their country could bring them benefits. If it could not, who gave a damn about it?

At any rate, Sam's mind was now filled with thoughts of what belongings in his house had belonged to his great-great-grandfather, so he could pack them all up and hand them over to Chen Mu.

For money, he had no other thoughts left.

As for Bumblebee, who had heard the entire conversation, he had no other thoughts either. His goal was exactly as Chen Mu had said: he was also after Sam's great-great-grandfather's relics. Otherwise, why would he have come into contact with Sam?

Did they really think Sam was some chosen one?

Come to think of it, Sam was just an ordinary American boy. What was there about him that was worth the Transformers' attention?

Bumblebee now desperately wanted Sam to sort through the relics, find those glasses, locate the AllSpark, then call his old comrades over so they could find the AllSpark and get out of there.

As long as the Decepticons did not get their hands on the AllSpark, that was enough.

But then again, both the Autobots and the Decepticons came from Cybertron. The Decepticons, especially Megatron, had always worked toward restoring Cybertron. No matter the circumstances, his goal had always been Cybertron. By comparison, the Autobots' actions made them traitors to Cybertron, especially Optimus Prime. He constantly obstructed Megatron, spouting righteousness and morality while disregarding the lives of his own people.

From a Cybertronian perspective, wouldn't Megatron of the Decepticons be the true hero? And
