"You agree, don't you, General Swanwick?"
Chen Mu looked at him meaningfully.
The implication was obvious, and General Swanwick's eyelid twitched.
Clearly, the other man had seen through his true identity.
That left him no choice but to shut up. He did not know whether Chen Mu truly knew his identity, nor did he dare gamble on it. If Chen Mu really knew and exposed him as an alien, things would become very troublesome.
Before repelling foreign invaders, one must first secure things at home. The meaning was obvious: before dealing with the Kryptonians, they naturally had to clear out all the aliens hidden on Earth. It was a very simple principle.
And awkwardly enough, General Swanwick himself was one such alien.
He came from Mars and was known as the Martian Manhunter. He had taken on a human appearance and lived among humanity, especially within the military. He had now risen to the rank of general and also served as America's Minister of Defense.
For someone with such a high-ranking identity to turn out to be a deeply hidden alien—if that became public knowledge, even a hundred mouths would not be enough for him to explain himself.
Of course, the Martian Manhunter from Mars was completely different from General Zod and the others from Krypton. He had always devoted himself to protecting humanity. But from humanity's perspective, what difference was there between him and the Kryptonians?
Were they not all aliens?
Whether you were good or bad, as long as you were not from Earth, you were the enemy.
Take Superman Clark, for example. He had always stood on humanity's side and done good deeds, yet countless people still opposed and rejected him.
There was no other reason. Those who were not of our kind must have different intentions.
