These surviving Kryptonians had long been impatient to rebuild their civilization.
General Zod and the others were products of a genetic program. Deep within their souls, the belief that they must devote everything to Krypton had long been engraved.
When Krypton was destroyed, they had also been freed from their prison in the Phantom Zone. Yet they could not feel happy in the slightest.
Krypton's destruction meant that they had lost everything, most importantly their faith.
However, under General Zod's leadership, they found their faith again: rebuilding Kryptonian civilization.
This kept them from wandering aimlessly. For over thirty years, they had drifted through the universe, constantly searching for usable resources. Most importantly, they had searched for Clark—or rather, the Life Codex.
Finding the Life Codex meant finding the genetic sequences of every Kryptonian.
It was their only hope of rebuilding Krypton.
So Zod was right. Even if someone on Earth truly could stop time, someone unimaginably powerful, they could no longer care about that.
They had to find Clark and extract the Life Codex.
This was their only chance.
Just as General Zod himself had said, Kryptonians had no time left to waste. Their only chance lay before them, and they had to accomplish it at any cost.
They had no other choice.
This group of Kryptonians had a very simple plan: use their ships to directly transform Earth.
Their ships could split into two parts and fly to opposite sides of Earth, then release gravitational waves to alter the planet's environment.
The plan was plain and straightforward. They had not made any special plans for humanity, because there was no need. Simply transforming Earth would wipe out all humans in the process.
Fragile humans could not adapt to the new environment at all.
